Hmm, my interest in EF was slight, but i think its getting less and less.
They actually included a system that experianced computer/internet/game users cant understand or are having more than slight issues with?
Seems odd to be being put off something simply because of the way you have to purchase it but wonders will never cease...

Go into BF2 in BFHQ and check what your Gamespy Account name is there. You should find it in the top left corner. This is the gamespy-id tied to your EA username that you play with online.
But I cannot help you find out which Gamespy-password you have.

        Still not working.
Gamespy account is tied to my EA account even though the account names are slightly different I don't see why it's still not working.

This cannot be be for real...

Well.. Than there is obviously something wrong.. Cause I have tried multiple times, with my BF2-online account.. And still get´s the same "error"...

Re: Sorry. The account name you've entered does not match.

You can't use your BF2 account name to create an EA account since it is in use already. Well that's what happened to me. Then I created a slight different name from my Gamespy ID. I logged into eadownloader with the EA ID, and the password, and then I even went into my EA options and tied my gamespy ID with my EA account.

            Still not working.

WHAT ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?
Write ANOTHER support ticket just to receive an email that was generated out of pre-formatted text blocks?

I'm a system administrator working for a large global company. No doubt that I'd be without a job by now if my content delivery system would be as flawed as the EA downloader.
I am getting a bit impatient tbh. After all I am a customer too, and I have spent my good earned money on a product that has still not been delivered to me. And the way it goes, I'm not sure if it will ever be delivered...

Re: Sorry. The account name you've entered does not match.

Hmm... So what is the GAMESPY account??.... Some people say its the same as ur "Bf2 online" account.. Wich is NorskSoldat, in my case.. Other mentions the seperate-Gamespy account, wich doenst have any thing with ur BFHQ- BF2 online nick....

So, I am gonna make the question easy:

I have BF2 installed.. I have an BF2 account (Wich is required to play, and therfor my NorskSoldat)..

I created an EA-Account.. (Wich included credit card info etc.)

              I downloaded EA-downloader...

And NOW I want to purchase Euro Force´s... But, to purchase it, u have to enter ur "Gamespy" account.. So I have tried with my "NorskSoldat" ... Even my "e-mail adresse".. But neither works... Gets the same error, all the time, and its really "!%#T%#%%#...

I got the URL error aswell, but the download has appeared in EA's Downloader and it's currently downloading as I type (24MB so far). If there's a payment problem EA can get off their backside and contact me.

All my details seemed to have been recorded correctly.

Can you please tell me WHERE you see a link to edit the gamespy ID in the downloader?!
I heard it mentioned many times, but never had this link myself:

I went to gamespy site, and changed the username to match the EA name there, didn't help so I changed it back. Made sure that my GamespyID is bound to my EA Account, but still didn't work.

                            Great tool.
Way to go for content delivery guys... lmfao

Yeah, I just tried a couple of times, and it finally went through. I hope I am not charged like 30 bucks instead of 10 as well
