hi guys. can anyone tell me in a tank to tank combat where is the best place to hit the other tank ???? because a few times i have only been hit twice by another tank which has blown me up????

I can confirm the 1-shot kill. I've only done it once against a fully healthy tank. I do like it when the enemy tank runs right up on me. It gives me a chance to use that tactic to kill them instantly with the second shot. Because of that chart, I've learned to not go head-to-head against the enemy tank.

not enough people know about it so i still close the distance especially against tankers who prefer to remain stationary and go for the one shot kill - its surgically effective :)
and best of all its a sensible exploit because the tanks weakest area aside from the underbelly is that exact area, DICE getting things right by accident - wonders never cease :laugh:

When you attack an enemy tank always turn to the side so they can't hit your tracks. Also the spot under the turret is useless... too hard to hit, plus you still need 2 shots to kill a healthy tank.

When my Squadmates and I play, we always run 2 Engineers. It's good practice to turn the tracks not only to hide your weak spots, but also to protect the guy reparing you. The only downside is that usually, it's difficult to get out of there in a hurry if you're sideways...

Is there a one-hit kill on an APC? How do you kill these things? 2 hits only set them on fire and the driver bails, and I get no points for killing anything -.-

Aim for the very front of the tracks, if you can't get a decent one shot kill lineup on him, it's only a difference of about 3 pixels if your in the right situation.

watch the videos in my sig for a bit of a better hint on one shot kills, pictures just aren't as effective. the second video, i need to edit, you can do that shot on all tanks.

The normal 2 shot kill is the fastest way to down a full-health tank. The one-shot kill method takes too much time and concentration, and by the time you manage to get your crosshairs on the right spot, he would already have blasted your arse halfway up heaven.

Depending on the tank your shooting at (and the angle you favor most), the one shot kill is only a few pixels over the two shot kill area. If your at a comfortable distance, you can easily aim just a hair low on the one shot kill, if you miss, you end up placing your shot right into the front of the tank tread, setting you up for a two shot kill.

If your within about 20 feet and at a decent angle, I'd go for the one shot kill, it mite take you a few seconds and he mite hit you first, but he will drop with one hit if you have the shot down.

Otherwise, I'd always go for the shot to the front of the tank tread. You're taking a gamble when you go for the one shot kill, but there is nothing more rewarding than watching the text come up with either a 'WTF', 'BULLSH*T' or 'nice shot'.

Be sure to use your machine guns between shots. If you have a fully cool MG, you can blow it on the second hit. They won't bail after the first and subsequent MG fire because they will be at 1/2. Once that second one hits, though, it will blow instantly.

The MG doesn't damage APCs.

The tank's MG does. How else can I hit an APC twice. Have it heavily smoke, use the MG and have it go from smoke to fire to explosion?!

I'm talking about with an AT rocket... Unless the P90 damages APCs...
If I'm in a tank and the driver bails I'd just machine-gun him down...
