Well now... I play Karkand because I like urban warfare... even tho i'm a sniper and never play anything else on these maps... It just doesnt bother me if there are 20 medics from 32 players on my side... sometimes it helps me a lot... It just looks interesting when you die and look at the radar... and there you see a dozen of red crosses around you :) What a nice feeling :P

If they play karkand 24/7 and you aren't then I don't really see how that would impact you in anyway. :pEveryone is entitled to voice their opinion about the game so long as it is within the bounds of the forum rules.

Ahh true but their quick enough have very strong opinions about how APC's are overpowered etc etc. If they want to do infantry combat then all fine and dandy whatever turns you on, but there are lots of maps which play well just as they are.

Lets be honest the BH got nerfed because this lot couldn't adapt to counter it on Mashtuur, which was a really unqiue map now it's lost something.

My number one reason for not liking karkand:

Killed by grenade
medic revives
killed by 2nd grenade from same guy
medic revives
killed by pkm from same guy
medic revives
tank runs over me
medic revives
apc shoots me through two buildings somehow
medic revives

...and each time, it seems like the medic is working for the other team. The guy who killed me is still right there spamming away and the medic just revives me so I get killed again instead of actually killing the other guy first.

I'd like to have a no-medics please flag to set in config. Heck, the other day, I was sniping on warlord and could not get an ammo bag from the 8 billion PKM whores or a supply drop from the commander who thought supply drops were put in the game to keep his ASSets working, so I eventually just got myself killed. WTF, a medic runs out and revives me. I still have no ammo---so I get killed again. I got killed and revived 3 times before finally getting a chance to respawn with ammo.

I really think this game needs a preventive medicine patch. Let those docs work on keeping us from dying instead of just running around with the shock paddles of futility.

lol, plenty of ways to get around the revives. If you don't like the map, don't play it, period.

Grenades can be frustrating, but its not like u earned a death for every one of those nades...the revives kept your and your teams score doing well... I'll gladly accept every crappy revive for those when the medic brings me back in time to help him clear out a flag, or when I've been able to kill the enemy, pick up his kit, and return the favor.

As far as Karkand, or any infantry-heavy map. Play this game competitively a few times and you'll have a whole new appreciation for what goes on in those maps...its the core of winning any match.

I like Karkand in some aspects but on a lot of servers Karkand will be the map so many times... and so because of the constant showing up of this map I have just started to get sick of it. In my opinion it is just the same thing every time so I just try different things every time so it isn't so boring but this usually results in bad points compared to the boring combat points I would receive playing it the normal way just absolutely whoring the first/last outpost.

Personally, I couldn't deal with only playing one map. I'm looking forward to the booster packs just so I can play something different!

I don't much like non-stop Karkand, but it's gotten to the point where I cringe when Karkand comes around in any rotation. I think I've finally gotten tired of it.

Nowadays I look for Chinese maps (except WI2007), which have always been underplayed. And yes, I am eagerly looking forward to the EF maps.

I think alot of people that play Karkand or Warlord love city maps. I like city maps, but not all the time. Like after Im done watching a movie about vietnam or WWII, I like to play wake.

Add the zip line and grappling hook to Karkand and it'd be a good map. Personally, I'm not a big fan of it. I prefer the special forces maps for urban combat....

Karkand is definately my favourite, but it's not the only map I play.

I just love Karkand's close-quarters, urban combat that most of the other maps lack.
