Alot more places to hide from tanks, you dont need to be medic to get high points. Last round of karkand i had today was 196, all ground pounding with my g36c.
I like Karkand but hate 24x7 players playing it, I tried one once got in a squad and a tank came. Two of us died, I said to the other guy spawn as AT, he didn't want to do it as it took too long to kill a tank and would not get any points for it.
So he then spawned somewhere else, they don't play the map they just play a map which allows them to play their chosen class. Annoys the hell out of me when the team just runs away when they see a tank.
Searching through some players stats a lot of them play Karkand only... but think about it maybe its not their first account and they have found that playing that map is the best for them too keep up good scoring and have fun as infatry (or tank whore :P ) so I think who is a stat whore has the right to play the same map all over again, it wont make your enjoyment any worse. But who realy doesnt know the other maps in BF2 well enough than he's a dumbass, not giving himself the chocie to develop new skills and absolutely useless as a clanmember.
Peace.
The key words of the post were "nothing but". I play Karkand every once in a while too. But if you are one of those that play only Karkand, then you are the dumbass.
i like all the maps...cept maybe Dam 64 player version. Too many flags, arrrrgg...
But I think i play karky the most, for reason that were stated already. I hate being raped by spamm'n pilots and choppers. In fact I'd like Karky even better if it had NO tanks.. or ifyour gonna keep the tanks, put the damn humvee tows on that map.
Anyhow..... I usually only play city type maps anyways. Its because those are the usual maps that can give me a real good squad versus squad war for a flag. Versus the others where it seems that 90% of the time you drive up....MAYBE kill one person and collect your 2 points. I hate that type play
I play Gulf of Oman almost exclusively. Do you hate me, too? I play it because it has a little bit of everything and my screen isn't filled with that orange haze. Dear God- how can people stare at that crap all the time? Trying to make out silhouettes of enemy soldiers through the haze makes my eyes hurt.
Sure- Karkand may be a "whores" map, but which one isn't? Oman is a map for jet whores. Sharqi is a map for chopper whores. Clean Sweep is a map for bomber whores. Etc., etc.

Cool. Thanks, man. :)
Honestly, I not only play Oman because it's my favorite map. The server I always play on runs it almost 24/7. I do, however, welcome the change when they switch it up a little. But I always find myself enjoying the game more when it's at Oman.
