        Vista won't need a DX10 card, just a DX9 card will forfill all it's features. Though when new games are being released with DX10 functions, those won't work on DX9 cards. But I guess that will take another year from now.

          Windows Vista WILL benefit from a Directx 10 card to help with the shaders used on the desktop. Also, a couple of games I KNOW will support DX10 out of the gate are Halo 2, Flight Simulator X, and a couple others. But for the most part, the majority of DX 10 games won't be out until about 2007-2008 like on other poster mentioned.

            can you back that up with a info link? If you need a DX10 card simply to run Vista all pretty-fied, then it's going to be a bunk OS for gaming. I mean seriously, if the desktop alone requires that kind of shading there's something wrong.
