Very few "minimum specs" are actually the minimum. The only absolute mininum for BF2 is that the video card must support Pixel Shader 1.4 (which means no GeForce 4xxx for example). People have reported running Bf2 on 933 MHz Pentium 3, a 32MB GeForce Go 5200, or 384 MB RAM. (I'm sure if you drop the CPU and RAM low enough that it eventually wouldn't load at all but I doubt any PC with a sufficient video card will be that low-spec.)

Sorry, your computer cannot run this game because your system did not meet the Minimum Requirements. If you want to learn how you can fix that problem, please review the details section below. In some cases it may be a free download and you could be good to go.

Great. More ****ing yardwork for me.

Don't trust that tool. They are just going by the published minimum specs which as I said earlier are not the real minimum specs.

Alright, I can play the game, I passed the test, but I just finished reinstalling it and installed the new patch, but now it crashes to desktop after a full black screen. It did this before I got a new video card, but after I installed the new card a while ago, it ran fine. But know it doesn't. Any suggestions?

Why is that amazing? Recommended requirements normally mean "most people will be able to enjoy the game with this hardware", not "this will give you a high framerate with maximum quality settings".
