I'm really looking forward to Armored Fury. The A-10 is one of my favorite planes, and I'm excited that I'll finally be able to pwn people with it in BF2. :p

I wouldn't get too excited. If we have powerful of planes vs tanks, then the maps will hopefully have plenty of Linebackers etc. We don't know what the load outs of the planes are going to be, but I can only presume they won't have guided missiles like the Maverick or the Russian Vihkr AT-16. A big arsed GAU-8/A gatling gun won't stop you getting popped by 4 stingers and sky full of 25mm cannon. :)

Meh, that's what flares like you are for. :p But I believe they will be adding cluster bombs to the A-10's payload to deal with those pesky stingers. And if the cluster bombs don't work, then the GAU-8/A will.

:) Don't get me wrong, I like planes... (check my stats.. ) and the A10 is a favourite (check the screen below.. it's me flying Lock On 1.1), but I just hope the air power isn't too uber because it will kill the booster. I'm actually looking forward to trying the Harrier, it's been a long time since I've seen one modeled in a retail game (rather than a mod).

I also saw a few screenshots of the maps when this was first announced, can seem to remember were though

Where are you getting rolling hills? According to your quote it says "vast open plains."

Should be this month at some point, probably nearer the end.

The introduction of the patches 1.21/1.22 require testing thoroughlly, but gives time to add new content.

But it is coming along great, and pretty certain it will be releasesed this month.

If you like the ef booster and are looking forward to the armoured fury booster... you will like USI.

Something for everyone in it, some great solelly infantry focussed maps, some very much armour focused maps, with no helis or aircraft to ruin ur day, and of course maps with the whole mix stirred into the pot

Mind seeing a post from someone when they seen EF pre release screenshots with 4 tanks in a row... proclaiming wow 4 tanks in formation, that gave me a giggle...... wait till you see how many tanks you can get in formation in USI..... armoured fury...pah

Kinda remind me of that "old" movie "RED DAWN",where cubans and russians invaded USA and a group of teen called "wolverines" becomes a "hard-to-digest-meal":laugh: for them.....any1 remember that?

Remember it? I saw it in the theatre in 1984 as a sophmore in high school... :laugh:

Red Dawn was one of the very first PG-13 movies too.

"open plains...tanks...open plains"...yawn. Why not rename Euro Force to Armored Fury (because that's what it is anyway) and give us some infantry only city maps.
