i dont know wat u people are on but i think aa is perfect. it only goes for the target if its within a certain angle range. and the missiles go for flares properly like they should.

judging by your response, you didnt read my thread at all.

AA was fine in 1.12 and before, I had no problems whatsoever shooting down planes...
ya, planes that fly completly straight, and even then they still decide not to hit.
Also, I hope dogfighting will be fun again now.
by fun do you mean that as long as you are hard turning you are immortal?

I don't mind stinger sites having powerful AA, but I hate how planes have them.
because as soon as they get on your tail... sigh, why bother.

I mean fun, as in you actually have to chase the enemy plane to shoot it down, with 1.2 AA you just lock, fire a few missiles away and then go mind your own business again, seconds later PBAsydney [J-10] OtherPlane

The increased Yaw and Pitch mean that the missile can now make sharper turns ONCE IT IS LOCKED ON A TARGET. However, The missle now needs more careful initial aiming toward the target.

Probably dogfighting will now become a bit different. Look at the new numbers!

A2A missiles:

A2A in 1.2

MaxAngleLock 120
MaxYaw 3
MaxPitch 3

A2A in 1.21

MaxAngleLock 45
MaxYaw 15
MaxPitch 15

Now the A2A and SAM missiles are different in this patch! SAM can turn faster than A2A.

the reason why your missiles may be missing targets and going for friendlys might be because youre trying to hit the other plane on too much of an angle. coincide the 2 circles in the planes hud and you will hit the target.

i also noticed in 1.21 the plane missiles dont have big knobs on them and also all AA missiles fly much smoother

And yes, dogfighting should NEVER be about the first lock, in a game.

About the hard-turn immortaility thing - "HAH"

A decent pilot knows how to overcome that.

No, they fixed the broken AA, now finally you can not shoot down any pilot, and YOU have to be good at AA, know where to aim and when to release etc., not just point and click.

I downed quite a few planes tonight after the patch but I have developed some skill I think, like you said, not just point and click.

Its like saying "lets only say nice things about what hitler did" or "say nice things about the person you hate"

Anyways, its not that the patched, sucked., its just that it didn't do anything good....

Like fix things....

For the topics sake, the good thing about 1.21 is that the download was only 13mb....
