If you have a squad leader who dosent care about his score, and your on a map with a transport chopper this is a simple yet extremely effective tactic.

Take the chopper up as far as it goes with the squadleader as the pilot, you can jump out and cap any flag if you cooperate. The best part is that you can go anywhere on the map if the chopper is in the middle, just look toward the horizon while you drop, and you will go fast foward and not as fast downward, be sure to check on the ground to avoid injuries.

Once managed to beat the prepatch flyboys on Dalain using that tactic and my F2000, 87 points baby!

That could be really effective on Mashtuur. I wonder how far the AA emplacements reach from the main bases?

Only concern I see here (and its not a big one) is that one of those poor guys is going to land on the one flag where all the enemy is! :) Oh well. At least you got a great start to the real estate game. Great Tip dude.

hm, they reach about 200-250 meters, your basically untouchable..

I did this first on mashtuur, and I can assure you, me and my buddies owned that map totally, poor USMC folk :P


And Mr. Rogue, the great part about it is that they dont know where your coming from till its too late. Plus it takes spawn time plus 5 seconds to get there.

Airborne n00btubing requires alot of skill, but when you master it, its devastating..

Yup, Definitely love when there's a mature player in the server that actually cares about winning. The other day, I was in a server with a guy that piloted the the BH as high as possible on Clean Sweep.

It was awesome. He would tranverse the flags, and circle the ones that needed support. He would give the command to bail out, and out we all would go.

I've tried doing this, but it seems dead hard finding people willing to spawn in a heli and jump out properly on pubs...

see the problem with this forum is that there arent any real tips and tricks..i mean after a month of playing bf2 for most ppl u can figure out everything...btw i do like this tactic...and hate it when ppl use it against me

I use this tactic primarily on Wake Island and Clean Sweep, sometimes on Kubra Dam. Three things: 1) It takes longer than 5 seconds to get to 200-250 meters; 2) On Wake Island and Clean Sweep you need to get to about 350 meters to stay alive; 3) Unfortunately, some lone wolf n00b will jump in the transport helo's pilot's seat, fly at 50-100 meters making everyone in the helo fodder for AA, MGs or A2A missles. :hmm:

It's a great Tactic. I was on Wake the other day and the other team was using this effectively. I figured out what was going on and jumped into a Buggy and started Quail hunting until I was over whelmed.

Tried to tell our Clueless comander and Pilots to knock him down to no avail they were too busy racking A2G points to worry about flags.

Gonna have to utilize it one day, which brings me to my biggest pet peeve. Flying low on Wake within the Laggon in a heli. there is no Foliage to fly nape of the earth to protect you.

In Wake If you want to take a flag don't be impatient and gain altitude before you get to the Island. The Flyboys will be too busy Raping the Essex to look for you in the air and you will be too high for AA Spoting.

That is all.

Had a squad leader do this tonight on Masthuur it was a lot of fun and VERY effective.

I had my first chance to try out the nerfed chaingun on the blackhawk too and WOW I couldn't hit a DAMN thing, I had my crosshair SET on this sniper on the roof, he wasn't even moving and NOTHING was hitting him. I was amazed.

We do it with 4 guys in my company all the time, would be devastating with 5 guys all hitting a point at the same time.

Plus it is really cool freefalling in formation then all pulling your chutes 5 ft from the ground. HALO for teh win
