Hmm that's weird. I've tried and tried this on various maps and I can't even get a confirmed hit. The only thing I know of that infantry can shoot through are fences. Hell, I've tried many times to snipe at snipers on cranes while I am right underneath them by shooting through the crane. It's practically paper thin and should not pose any serious threat to an M95 but it never works. I always end up waiting till they expose their big toe through the openings on the crane floor or whatever it's called.

I've shot through the 'floor' of the crane (on the arm bit) at a sniper before, killing him

I hit him before previously in the chest (2 bars health left for him) which sent him back a bit and out of direct line of sight, so I wondered if I could get him through the floor and it did! (I was using M95).

If shooting through the metal floor doesnt seem to work, shoot at their knee which is protruding through the floor where they are proned
