In reality, its nearly impossible for jets to dodge sidewinders, as they go much faster, and are more manuverable.

anyone complaining about overpowered aa missiles is a plane or helicopter whore, simple as that.

seriously, ive been on ghost town lots, and the helicopters still whore and camp tons, the one AA launcher is nowhere near enough to take them down.

seriously! flares make them miss, and by the time the AA reloads, youve got more flares!

only some kind of idiot pilot would hang around the AA missile area without destroying the AA missiles.

and the trees and other junk in front of the AA missile sites are on the planewhores side!

ya... Filefront needs to suck it up right now... I flew to about 20% and now I'm at 24kbs.... only 40 billion hours left on the dl.

So far from watching what I have seen in the Youtube.... You have been hit twice by AA's never once incurring damage. Have had it happen a few times myself. LOL

And, I love the rear mounted AA missiles.

Oh ya in light of the DICE mistake thing I want to add. I was playing Mashtuur today, knifed a guy's shoe through a wall and killed him. Yayer! Damn, I wish I had FRAPS running.

flares do not really work no idea what you are talking about.. All flares do is take off the "lock" you have so then the AA misses.. but if you already have lock and fire before flares or as long as you are pointed at the plane it will hit (confusing?)

air to air is just to easy.. Everyone has there own opinion but it cant get any easier

I like how planewhore always backs up his opinion with vids while everyone else just types something

If you wacthed the vid shows how weak helis are now to jets.. 3 secs even without missles you can take down a transport heli

vid also shows how jets can still own everything air at least on wake but then again planewhore was not fired at very often and i didnt find many other jets also he is above the AVG flyer but this doesnt really matter on air to air so remember that

kind of have to skip most of it to see the parts with air to air..

Missles missed but went after another heli and took it out stuff like that.. some parts when you fire at another jet but did not even stay with him or point at him even when doing this you got the kill

Planewhore lets just face the truth. First off, we know on the surface that the videos you make are meant to illustrate some kind of flaw or flaws in the game, but deep, deep down we know and you know that its all about attention, about getting your name out. Deep down you think you're superior to other people. But the truth is, there are thousands of people that could beat you, you're nothing special. Play a real FPS like UT2k4 against competent people or a flight sim like falcon 4.0, make a video and then come back to show us your greatness

This is a Battlefield 2 forum, with topics concerning gameplay and everything related to Battlefield 2. There is no "real" games, theres Battlefield 2 and I urge you to stay ON TOPIC.

I never claimed what I was doing was hard. On the contrary, I'm in a plane that ensures me a win versus any other plane in a dogfight. I can fire missiles whenever I feel like (even when I'm past my target) and still have them connect, and if they miss they'll still hit another target across the map. The reduction in armor in planes and helicopters makes them ridiculously easy to take down, flares that flat out don't work and of course rubber boats which got no love in 1.2 and are still floating coffins. My only regret is I didn't get my favorite bug to pop up that round, or rather, teammates showing up as enemies on my HUD.

Of course, it's also designed to show pilots who care that the days of 70-100-0 scores are not over should they choose, and all you need is proper team selection and submissive tactics (having stacked teams doesn't hurt either). I don't make an active effort to dodge missiles, either. I just flare and pray. Whereas in 1.12 I would've pulled some evasive maneuevers that required intelligent thought and planning.

The difference between this video and my last is my heart isn't in to it, and that is the point I was trying to get across. Everything is either too easy, or has been removed from the equation completely, and that makes for a rather dull piloting experience. A lot of times I don't follow through on kills, I don't bother attacking certain units I would have in 1.12, in general I'm just plain lazy this round.

This video is nothing special, and I never claimed it to be. It's just something quite a few people requested that I do and finally decided to do just that today in about 30 minutes of my spare time. It pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with planes at the moment, even though on the surface (or to everyone on the U.S. team) planes are working just fine.
