I suspect one of two things and most likely the first. It seems like some other application is trying to "do it's thing" in he background while you are gaming. It probably is not obvious and it could even be your OS trying to set index pointers, but something is trying to run and hogging either CPU cycles or system bandwidth.

The other thought was perhaps a driver conflict because of the SLI mode but it is very unlikely.

Well, I've ended every unnecessary process in TMgr.

Also, this lag only seems to occur after 3-5 rounds. So, i can usually get through one match, but mid-second match it begins to lag. I have system restored as well, to no avail.

okay, i have restored, reinstalled and the like. My only other option is to format. What should I do guys?

                    Re: random laggage

Can it be your router (wireless by any chance?)

Just thought of the following, don't know if it's going to help:

If you run battlefield in a window (never tried this, but I think option is fullscreen=0, search forum) and at the same time keep an eye on your resource usage in taskmanager, maybe also check temps etc.

Formatting may solve it, but it's the big hammer approach. It's garanteed a lot of work, and may not solve anything.

                      Re: random laggage

I have a wirED router, and my computer is the main administrator to is. I have checked temps actually. This morning i was fooling around with different settings. Turn off frames to render ahead helped a bit. Also, should Supersampling/Multisampling be turned off? I also may try what you suggested, but during the game when it lags I have alt-tabbed, checked processes and temps. The temps of the Video Cards are usually at about 68-70 under a full load. I have told the system to keep the video fan on at all times now to some improvement. I have 2GB or RAM and the usage never goes past 1200

Are you sure about "some improvement" when you keep the video fan on at all times?

If that is the case something must be temp sensitive. Now to find out what ..

I have the same problem but I feel mine is worse maybe lagging for 30-60 secs and its not because of my internet because i have always good ping and have a fast connection.

Well, it seems to have helped somewhat. Though, the Video Card temperatures arent skyrocketing and I have a Zalman for my CPU.

That's true, you're temps look ok. Did you try a running a memtest. I don't yhink it's the problem, but dodgy memory can do strange things, and it's just another thing to check.
