Recording video (BF2 obviously)

I tried getting fraps, but there is a 30 second time limit. Does anyone know some other way of recording?

I have a Radeon X800 Pro with S-vid out, and I also have some card that says "RCA" (I don't know if its in/out), I also have some "WinTV" card with, "D/tv/S-vid" again, idk if its in or out.

The X800 Pro says "vid out", so I took an S-video>RCA, and plugged the video into a VCR. When I went to record, nothing showed up on the tape.

Or does anyone know some other ways ..."around" ... the 30 second fraps limit

Ok, hold on. I used a good one, which needed too much recources for my PC (Im on min settings, apart from 3.0 P4 HT, 512 RAM, 128 ATI Radeon 9550SE).

I has a 30 day free trial version, which is better than 30 second pieces. But if you want to talk *cough* about FRAPS, PM me.

Battle Recorder, it bugged though in version 1.2 and crashes as soon as a UAV is launched so as long as no UAV is launched its fine.

Ok so I got Fraps, not from you tribal... sorry. lol

Well, When I record... it's laggy as hell!

I went and I changed FPS to 80, and I tried, and it was a LITTLE better, but then I checked it.. and it was like a minute long clip.. and it was a GIG!

So does anyone know how to get this working so it won't lag so much? But yet, not be so HUGE (it can be big, but I mean managable... not a GIG for 1 little minute.

really just gotta mess with the settings on it. Iv'e been able to use it well and yes unfortunetly the files are large. all I do is drop in windows movie maker and convert. drops the file size incredibly.

Lag comes with the gig baby. You can lower your settings to reduce lag, but your video isn't going to be as good.

to think about it gig doesnt seem reasonable , thats prolly cause your capturing so many frames. truthfully sometimes 30 is even too much.

Set the frame capture to 30fps or even 25fps. You may also need to lower your game detail so it doesn't lag your machine.

If you've got 80fps you can't expect the clip to be small :)
