Sf failed because people had to spend money on pointless crap that ea could of given as a free download. So much so, they've stuck their own co ck up their arse, and no-ones getting eurforce. If they made the actual game good before making shoddy ass patches and shoddy ass add-ons, maybe people would spend more.
No-one's getting Euroforce, huh?
Is it even available outside Germany? AFAIK, it has not been released yet, and the German CDs were completely sold out.
Strange EA couldn't fix the lag problems with SF, hence 32 man servers not 64 on European Assault.
Yep 32 is a far cry from the 100 players they promised us. Don't get me wrong I think 32 players is plenty but EA/DICE need to get thier act together in how they are handling BF2 and all these empty promises that they keep making.
warlord> karkand. Karkand is nothing more then a constant meat grinder at the hotel, with guys doing nothing but throwing grenades for the entire round. Not to mention 2 claymores at every single alley and entrance, camping Armor on either side of the hotel, and constant arty strikes since everyone is so bunched up
Gotta say I agree, hardly ever play vanilla now, too boring, to many n00bs. Warlord and ghost are class maps. Ghost in particular reminds me of Kosovo..........(mists of time **** going on).
I think the best thing about it is the way the maps are layed out. I like Ghost Town the best I think, and Devil's whatever is a lot of fun also. Iron Gator is a little too fast for my taste. But all in all I think the maps are better than the default maps. The HUGE maps in BF2 are just not enough fun tome because you have to run ten miles just to capture a flag that someone is going to take right after you walk away. I dunno. SF>BF2 IMO.
Speaking of the claymore situation... When I was in the Army I remember claymores having to be detonated from behind them manually. There was no magic proximity laser or something. and the kill range was 25 meters or something. Explodes and shoots out 700 1/4 inch washers I believe. Turn ya right into hamburger :).
Anyway, I do like that I'm not constantly being TK'd for my claymores. Makes me at least play sniper now. :)
SF FTW!
claymores and mines TKs is default off. some servers have already put it to on. no punish option but hell lotsa negative team points if you claymore/mine whoring...
- it costs 30$ , which some people find extremely a lot of money
- it has some extra bugs
- the performance is wurse then BF2 vanilla
- also, it seems dice doesn't give a dam about SF, less support
i think SF rox! New maps,Viechles, soldiers, and much more.. kinda tired of vBf2 for the moment.. havent played it for 14days since i got SF :)
maybe they`ll ix some bugs and stuff with a new patch in the near future ,who knows. But still, this game is made by humans, so bugs and stuff will therefor occour unfortuantely.. But what the heck, its a No1 game for me ever in this camp so...
I've probably played vanilla 5 times since SF came out. The maps are superior as are the weapons and tactics. As far as performace problems - I had none with vanilla and I have none with SF.
I also love the guys who think it should have all been given away for free. Here's a wake up call for you - just because it's on a computer or the internet doesn't mean it has to be FREE!!!! EA is a business. They released the most popular game last year so why shouldn't they try to capitalize and make more money off of it. If you were a shareholder in the company, you'd want that, right?
Anyway, for those that say it all should be free, name me one game that's given away that much free content? No game I've ever played has.
