    SF is GOOD

Why does SF get such a bad rap? I Enjoy playing SF MUCH more than I do the 'nilla version. (Besides Wake that is.) Sure I don't get as many points as I do running around Karkand tossing ammo bags, But I have much more fun and have decent scores. Well fun until that damn Hind come out. :) JK. Anyway just thought I would make a post that wasn't a rant on how bad SF is. bugs are minor besides the name bug but I still don't mind that. Great game and good times.

he meant that special forces would not receive any new toys - it was a stanalone product - the bugs will be fixed in tandem with the core game

Honestly as the game sits right now, nothing will stop me from playing it. There really isn't anything that makes the game not fun to play. Sounds like a bugh of Uber Leetists just making things to be mad at a developer about. They will get to it when they can. Oh well... Still fun for me.

I can honestly say I have not had a lag issue with SF. I lag mroe on 64 man Karkand than I do on the SF maps. Meh... I dunno.

Warlord is my favorite map, bar none. The claymore sitatution has hurt CQC inside the buildings, but overall the SF maps are all generally great and more varied that vBF2. The technicals are well-implemented (we really need more vehicles in the "open" vBF2 maps). And zipping around in the ATV? C'mon--that gives THE BEST sense of fun and speed that I've ever encountered in a game that has successfully meshed so many other features. Can I begin to describe the feeling of strapping c4 to the ATV and ramming a loaded down APC? I thought SF was very well done, and I am going to start playing more now that I've gotten thoroughly sick of point hookering on Kark.

The only problem I see? Everyone who got SF will PROBABLY buy EF--hence I expect to see a significant migration of servers. Time will tell, but I expect that enough SF servers will still be available for those who enjoy the style of play that it offers.

Only minor complaint with SF is the loading times, but then again, the plethora of "hollow" playable buildings, and zipline/grappling hook accessible structures all mean the system has to load that many more surfaces. An acceptable trade for enhanced and varied playability, methinks.

I'm an SF fan, right down to the bloody starlight.

Nice to read a little praise around here for change.

Sometimes can get frustrating with tech issues + bugs but when it all clicks - definitely nice.

Speaking of the claymore situation... When I was in the Army I remember claymores having to be detonated from behind them manually. There was no magic proximity laser or something. and the kill range was 25 meters or something. Explodes and shoots out 700 1/4 inch washers I believe. Turn ya right into hamburger :).

Anyway, I do like that I'm not constantly being TK'd for my claymores. Makes me at least play sniper now. :)

                    SF FTW!

                      Re: SF is GOOD

Sf failed because people had to spend money on pointless crap that ea could of given as a free download. So much so, they've stuck their own co ck up their arse, and no-ones getting eurforce. If they made the actual game good before making shoddy ass patches and shoddy ass add-ons, maybe people would spend more.

Failed? Shoddy? If it's so shoddy then stop playing. It's that easy. And I think I can defeat your statement that noone is going to buy EF because I will get it on release.

Love SF, especially the unlocks, don't know why people are complaining about paying for the expansions though. Its not much, and EA has to make money anyways.
