just hope the patch will fix, the disapearing object, lag (wich has increased big time since last patch) , claymore, and some other stuff .

about the 1900GTX, nice, but not outstanding , have seen 3dmark scores of the card, and fact is, my 3dmark scores are higher in every 3dmark application (my card runs OC'd) , but the price is nice of the cards.

A 7900GT would go for 300$ , meaning for 600$ you have 48 pipelines doing the job for you

I'm not buying another card until DX10.

Lol you do realise dx10 is not backwardly compatable.

They have re-written Direct X and to play games like battlefield 2 it will have to go through an emulation layer which will slow the game down.

The only way you will see an inprovement in a dx10 game over dx9 is for a dx10 specifically written game and you will not see many of them for some time yet.

It is a bloody good move as far as I am concerned. At the moment when running dx 9 it has to take into account of previous versions of dx which obvious gives overheads.

If dx9 was written from scratch ( as dx10 is ) then you would find battlefield 2 would now run faster.

Now some people would complain so why didnt microsoft write a clean version of dx each time. But you cannot do that. Think of all those version of dx you would have to have installed to run all your older software.

You have to make things backwardly compatable.

I think the new windows vista and dx10 are going to be a great clean start and looking foreward to it.

It would be nice to think that some older software would run nice but to be honest when we have gone over to that battlefield 3 will be released and with a bit of luck Dice are already planning on doing a 64bit build for dx10 and not limiting anything by trying to get the same piece of code work on all platforms :)

I'd be looking forward to Friday, if:

1. I knew for a fact (i.e. from a Community Update) that the patch/hot fix would be released then.

2. That the patch itself would fix all by BF2 troubles.

Other than that, I'll settle for it's nearly weekend.

the aa missiles in bfv are much better than they are in bf2. if they just used bfv missiles, made them a little faster to match the speed of jets, and added a dummy lock on system it would be so much better

anywaysm the 7900GTX WILL outperform the x1900xtx, and TO ALL THE RICH PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM: Buy one, like you bought thre x1900xtx and benchmark it thanks!

as i said the 7900GTX doesn't outperform the 1900XTX, and the 1900XTX is faster on bf2 :)
