yup this patch better fix the no gun fire sound bug though.

from what i have read the GeForce 7900GTX wont be faster than the ATI 1900XTX

lets see they will fix a few problems but more bugs will be found after its released, like always EA has to screw something up, well I will be one of teh first ones to get it since I got teh Subscribers account for FIleplanet.com so the patch should only take me 5-10mins if its around 100-400MB

Highly doubt it, and if it DOES beat it, it will probably be marginal. Don't get me wrong, I've been waiting for this card since January, and am ready to buy one, especially at the nice price. However, I don't think it'll kill the x1900XT/X, especially since ATI just lowered their prices. The G71 is simply a refresh of the G70. The only thing that's changes which the community knows about and IS confirmed, is the die shrink, and the boost in MHz. I'm not to sure if that's enough to give a beating to the X1900 series, though I sure hope it is.

To me, it's all about Price per Performance. I truly do hope the 7900GTX does show GOOD improvements though, however nothing is confirmed, and won't be until Monday of next week. By then, all of the reviews should start popping up.

where is your source for the patch being out on friday. i thought EA released there patches on tuesday.

Why do you think the patch is going to come out this friday? Because 1up claims it? Is 1up in anyway EA or Dice? How is 1up official?

Until there is an official word from either EA or Dice, stop following rumors!

Back when 1.03 was supposed to be released, someone claimed to have a leaked version of a message supposedly sent to all ranked servers that stated that the patch would be released. When that day arrived and the patch was not released, the forums were spamming with people screaming "WHERE IS THE PATCH?!" and/or "EA LIED TO US!".

I made a post back then talking about it(found here, which I'm about to remake in regards to the new patch.

If you're going to make assumptions about release dates, all you're going to end up with is dissappointment.

True, it may in fact be the correct date, but let's find that out, or see an official message about it, rather than just assume it, only to find out later it is false.
