God, I'm so sick of this

Here's the situation: I was playing on a 64-player Karaknd server as MEC near the start of the match. There was a LAV-25 "whoring" at the usual place (across the street from Hotel point) and everyone on my team was complaining about it. They were even calling votes to kick the "whore" off the team. I press tab, only to realize that I was the only anti-tank player on my team. How can people be this damned lazy? Here we have like 3 enemy APC/Tanks roaming around our spawn and 75% of the team is either a sniper or support. I'm so damned sick of people in this game that bitch and whine about people whoring armor, while they refuse to actually do anything about it.

Well, I think it's the frustrating "screw over" factor of being Anti-Tank is why no one ever wants to play it. For instance, firing rockets at an APC only for it to be set on fire, so the guy in it just jumps out and runs away leaving you with no points after all the work you did. Yeah I know someone going to say stuff like "Well you gotta organzine a squad of ATs from random pub players to do exactly what you say and fire at the same time blah blah.." and other crap thats never going to happen. But yeah, I play AT all the time and I can really understand what you're saying, as I often find myself as the only AT on my team as well.

Snipers get antitank bullets, because that is the way it should be.

i notice the same too, but on karkand, instead of turning AT myself i just do the ol' switch to spec ops and c4 them gag. Especially useful when they are so busy spawn camping that they dont look around

I'll never understand that mentality, either. By all means, keep spawning at the same place as sniper or support or medic and continue getting slaughtered but don't abuse the player taking advantage of your stupidity / laziness. You keep getting killed in that situation and it's your own damn fault.

Here's another example for the archives:

Gulf of Oman, 64-player version. I was on the MEC team and had spawned at the airfield / uncappable. Three of my teammates were there, along with a USMC player in an APC, gleefully slaughtering those who were waiting for a jet. I'd spawned as Special Forces, so the first thing I did was try and take him out with C4. No suck luck because he spotted me at the last moment. "No problem," I thought and respawned as AT.

During all this, two of the players who had been waiting for the jet (and had, by then, probably been killed 2-3 times each), were spamming the global chat with things like, "STOP SPAWNCAMPING!" "GET OUT OF OUR SPAWN!" "I'VE GOT SCREENSHOTS AND YOU'RE GETTING BANNED," etc., along with a torrent of abuse, all levelled at the guy in the APC. NONE of them were coming back as Anti-Tank or anything useful and as they continued bitching, I fired the two AT rockets necessary to destroy the APC. Problem solved.

I've NEVER heard those sorts of complaints coming from good players; they just kill the enemy and move on, but the hopeless players seem to constantly cry and whine. Why play a game like this if you get upset and angry every time you're presented with a minor challenge?

yea these damn kids on BF2 all of this US NAVY SEALS **** that they see on TV is warping them they think "Oh AT sucks i only like sniper and spec ops..." when if you think about it AT is very valuable. Personaly i am good with sniper but when it comes down to it i am AT all the way. So here is my advice for you, call all the people pathetic then leave the server and find one with some decent people. Or you can be the pathetic one and switch teams.

lol i cant stand to be sinper or support beacuse thoses 2 class really suck at killing people, i mean anit tank you can just rack up the kills if you take the time to find out what kills a vechicle the fastest , i mean you can find that out too by just ridding in a apc and noticeing where your hit marker is comming from and how much is took off of your health. Its not that hard to do

The best thing to do is become a sniper, move away from the battle. Watch and laugh at all the people getting killed 10 times in a row. Antitank is best used on other maps with lots of transport whores.

Hah, that story reminds me of every time I'm on a map where half the team is sniper, and they just sit around and let the other team take all of the flags out from under them.
