Or just because they have more free time/ would rather play BF2 than do other things which is fine.

Having no life to me is going out every day working coming home eating sleeping and redoing the same.

I am proud that I do nothing but what I want to do, all day long.



And getting that kind of score either, playing exclusively on overpowered maps like USMC on kark in armor the whole time. Basically just knowing what you are doing and getting kills all the time. Forget winning or anything like that just revive and kill revive and kill. Chase people till you kill them.

I never let anyone out of my sight.

i'm not disagreeing with your point, but i can't fathom why anyone would dedicate that much time and resources just so they can get virtual points that mean absolutely nothing. . .

Funny must mean something because we are here discussing it....

"idle admin time" is bvllsh1t .. you can admin all day and night without being logged into the game via BF2CC .. that is weak to take up a slot when you aren't even 'in game' .. total lameness

Here is the tradecraft for scoring high points all the time.

1. Play on small maps:

Encase you havent noticed, most noobs play on small maps and most experienced players play on larger maps. But, also larger maps have more players, thus more ways for you to die. Playing on smaller maps usually limits your chances for death when in armor or helicopters. 16 player maps are the best. 32 player maps are good but usually have a fare number of experienced players. 52 and 64 player maps are the worst because its filled with mostly experienced players.

2. Play Chopper Pilot or Gunner:

Because the chopper is mobile, you can easily engage many targets, anywhere on the map, in the least amount of time. There are also a limited number of air defenses, therefore safe. When you play on small maps, this means even fewer air defenses. Gunners are still too powerful on BF2, they slaughter teams with few spawn points. Choppers also quickly capture spawn points, thus the fewer spawn points, the more concentrated your targets are.

3. Play on specific maps:

Sharqi and Ghost are the two best maps for choppers. The combat areas are smaller and easier to navigate. Choppers still rule these two maps. If your an inexperienced pilot you can still score high on smaller maps as a chopper or gunner. Playing the same map also gets you experienced in taking out air defenses which are fixed in specific sites. Take them out firs tthem take out the soldiers. Also plenty of ridges to fly behind for cover etc.

4. Play high point servers:

You will get higher points on a small map (16 player) then on a high point server. But, if you can find a high point server on a small map with choppers, then your in for huge points. I have seen guys with 400 points a game when such exist.

Conclusion:

If you want high scores, play against noobs. Smaller maps attract more noobs and fewer experienced players. Choppers still score the highest points, so master it well. But, watch out cause noobs try to kick good players just cause they cant play as well.

My personal view on this:

From the start, i have always played the 64 player fields and of course i got slaughtered bad in the beginning because most players were previous BF1942 players which made them familiar with the controls and capabilities. Just recently have i been balancing out my K/D ratio because my experience has grown.

This last weekend i started playing 16 player servers for the first time, just to hone my flying skills (im a noob pilot and stick suck at it). I can say this last weekend helped improve my flying ability more than the last 8 months of occasionally flying on 64 player maps. It was like playing a beginner level which matched my noob flying skills. Of course, i still only got about 10 kills per game. But, thats better then i did on the 64 player maps with a chopper. However, my team players who were more experienced then i were scoring 200 points a game even with me co-competiting for those 8 enemy soldiers.

Also i would like to add that experienced pilots say its easier to fly choppers with joysticks because some functions are automatically performed (such as tilt). I use the keyboard and mouse which i like. But, it seems like a joystick can add an extra edge for pilots and gunners?

24 hours a day, tracked by BF2tracker? Well, BF2tracker updates your stats, when you click the "UpdateNow" button. Play 5 days, more or less, without checking ya stats on BF2tracker. Then feel free someday to update your stats on BF2tracker, and it would track all the hours, kills, etc to one single day! One of my friends haven't updated for a while, then he did it. Eeeeh, 46 hours playing, 5000 points, in one day. Eh?

But yeah, those "top ranked" guys MUST have their accounts shared. Noway playing so much a day , for one guy.

i've never admined a bf2 server, so i don't know. i just know that he responded to a thread once that a lot of his time on karkand is the "idle admin time"

He's just racking up time for a badge. Like the other guy said, you can admin using bf2cc without taking up a server slot.

Or do double time and sit in a certain type of vehicle and use a certain kit just to get the time for that kit and vehicle.

You also can't ignore those who stat-padded or used a sort of glitch to get up there. Not saying that they all are stat-padders, but you can't deny that some must be.


Fortunately, EA is taking care of that.
