Hi all,
thanks for comments :-)

how do you even do stuff like that? like having two keyboards and what not.

The 2nd KB on the floor is a $5 USB KB with most keys popped off, the main KB is PS/2 (and the N52 is USB also.)


I play a fair bit, so I need a comfortable setup for my easy chair. (I'm not young anymore, can't manage those 24 hour stretches like camping EQ)

So now I have both hands in the perfect position - comfortable and supported - I can play for hours with no arm strain.

I tried a multi button mouse - couldn't find one with the right button positions. Now I use the standard 3 mouse buttons.

I don't have a driving pedal, but they would be great for vehicles.

I have a joystick, but I don't fly much.

I use a WolfClaw II keyboard and MX-518 mouse and use a Saitek X-52 for flying. I have more than enough controls at my fingertips.

I looked at the Nostromo gamepad dealy - but it did not have enough keys for me - the WolfClaw II has 40 keys right at your finger tips - all configured where you can easily reach them for FPS's.

But that wolfclaw thing is so HUGE!

All I have on my desk when playing BF2 is the N52, joystick, and mouse...I don't even need my keyboard on the desk when playing (plus, it helps prevent me to talking smack )

Anyone else use foot controls ?

I just didn't have enough keys on my Nostromo N52 (fantastic gamers controller - I use it on my left thigh, mouse on right thigh, in my comfy chair :-)

I looked into things like Dance Dance Revolution, or musicians foot pedals, or foot controls made for PCs (all way over $100.)

So I used a USB keyboard on the floor, removed most of the keys , and use my feet to give me 3 extra keys -

left foot = spacebar = jump

right foot = Ins/0 = PTT squad
right foot = Enter = PTT commander

I can play without using or looking at my main KB - works great, cost me $5 :-)

That would be awesome! You wouldn't become as unfit because you have to constantly move your feet to move It also means that when you say that you need a ride, you genuinely mean it :P

I've often thought of hooking up my steering wheel for driving the jeeps...but it would be a nightmare to get completely set up properly

Talus - Toe Jammer looks very cool indeed, I'll see if they are available locally.
Yah, a wheel is the best way to drive - so close to the real thing.

BeerStein - WolfClaw looks very useful - but for me, it's too big (won't fit in my lap in easy chair.)

Rev - ah, lost his arm, made his own foor controls - cool :-)

dblEdge - yup, getting exercise, drinking healthy Coke etc. - I'll be fit in no time ;-)

I use a microsoft intellipoint mouse (2 button and scroll), a normal hp keyboard, and a joystick, and it's fine.

All i get from this is that you have an easy chair

Normasl KB + Mouse works just fine.. don't need al that fancy Mongojombo
