How do players teamkill intentionally and get away without being able to be punished?

some servers have the punish option off....

and then there are some with a lack of admins...or ethical admins.

Hm... I've seen this where you can't seem to punish when you get ran over or was killed in a team-vehicle collision, but instead you CAN punish if you were killed by a team-mates fire-arm. I think this was made to curb INTENTIONAL teamkilling.

Not true, because when I accidently TK"d in the same game I was punished. I don't think the server or admin had anything to do with it. And the incident I'm talking about I was hosed with a players firearm.

Well... don't know whats going on then, wait for the 1.21 patch to come out and see what happens I suppose. Just many of the time I've been TKed in vehicles and I wasn't able to punish. But at times I was TKed by gunfire I was given an option to punish.

If you're next to a friendly mine when it pops an enemy vehicle, then you don't have the option of PTK. This systems existence is to curb UNintentional tk punishes, intentional: I just don't know.

servers turn off punish cuz of the dumbasses (most bf2 players) that always punish

Some servers have tkpunish turned off totally because it gets abused.

Our server has punish turned on however tkpunish by default is turned off. What this means is if you let the tkpunish timer run out without making any decision to punish or forgive it will automatically forgive.

Also we are now running a tkpunish annoucement script. Everytime someone punishes someone else it will be announced to the whole server in this format: Player A punishes Player B (Player A has 1 tk, 0 forgives) as an example. So it has a good effect and can embarras people who constantly punish. We also use it to determine tkpunish abuse and will kick people who abuse it. Intentional tk's are best reported to an admin to deal with and not to tk them back. If a player only forgives it won't announce to the server. Only everytime a player punishes it will.

Yeah, I like that about your server- don't know if anyone really gives a rats-ass about being shamed for punishing though, but it kind of does something in a way. Also good how your server shows the punishes and forgives of the 'punishee' - so I suppose if a heavy, intolerant w*nker of a accidental TK punisher ends up punishing a guy who'd been forgiving all the time, people will know, and well... LET THE KICK VOTING BEGIN!!!

No, n00bs punish accidents. Its ok to puntish a teamate tking for a vehicle.

Our server we turn it off because it's stupid...if you don't know you don't lose anymore points if your punished it only is a system of getting you kicked if 3 people punish you...with it off you can TK forever on a server so it's only usefull to an extent on servers that don't contain admins.

I don't usually punish when I get teamkilled.. but if I know that it was intentional i'd usually punish them.. also when i'm in an angry mood i'd punish them. It sucks when the player has obviously teamkilled you and you can't punish them because the server does not allow it or w/e. If you can't punish them the first time, and they know you can't, it's even more likely they will do it again to you, or someone else. This is the most commom thing which ruins my game..

I have to stand up and tell you all that I punished a guy tree times today. I am totally against punishing. But this guy done me, spawn after spawn, from around 10m. I know it was cos of the red tag bug. He should of worked it out too or/and noted my name.
Will my punishment be forgiven ???
