Ive been getting this alot recently myself weirdest one i had was i was in a FAV on the main gun shoting at a BH . But there was no sound and no tracer fire only way i new i was firing was because of the animation of the belt feeding into the mounted MG . Ive noticed aswell the animation is messed up alot on the USMC APC . Alot of the time when someone fires the main gun of the APC it looks like the rocket pods are firing full auto instead of the main gun and theres no tracer fire.

yeah had this too on myEAx x-fi card. you cant hear shots, whats that all about.
if it works fine dont touch the sound EA....... i'm starting to not play the game these days because of such issues. why do i want to play when the game's sound is so messed up and to a point that you cant use it to play....

This problem must have something to do with the audio settings, because i don't have this problem, i hear everyone and everything crystalclear, perhaps you should lower your settings? i'm on high.

yeah it happens to me all the time, so damn annoying. I see this guy standing up but not shooting, my life go down, and the next thing i know is i'm dead. Maybe he killed me by staring at me or something...

Had fired with a PKM and there was no sound and no fire anmiation. The only thing I saw was the change of my ammo count and a guy falling down with the killmessage that told me I kill him.
That can't be soundcard failure.

This was probably the first bug I encountered with the new patch. I'd be shooting at someone staring at me and suddenly die and it looked like they were just staring at me but somehow they'd kill me.

My mobo has good (7.1 dolby) sound built in, so I did the pikey thing and didn't buy a souncard at all, just use the onboard thing. Never had a broblem with sound.

i have a great system and the Eax worked fantastic before this 1.2 patch so no its not becasue its on Ultra high or settings its the patch.

I hope they fix it too bud. Cause I rely on my ears for direction of fire. I have a expensive video card and a Audio FX headset (WOOT) and I cant hear alot of guns so its more difficult to protect myself.

Ya'll are correct. Seems to be a patch issue. I dont remember it in the beginning but then again , its been awhile since the first update. Lav , Inf Weps , even got shot with a barret point blank ( I know , not one of my finer moments ) and never even heard it. doesn't seem to be sound card or settings related. 2o members in the clan and 17 have the issue on and off. Guess its one of those cases that different things effect different pc's ... Gotta Love it.

And if it was one of ya'll that split my wig with the 50 cal. I forgive you but dang , next time say hi first ....

before the new latest patch i could here people,gunfire,flagpole, ect sounds any where on the map. eg on wake island i could here all the sounds from one side of the horse shoe while i was on the other side all on my own. this was really anoying but it went away after i patched it.

I've never had this problem maybe you need to change your settings
