Agreed. Anti-Tank, Assault, Engineer, and Sniper are my favorite kits. Although I'm still stuck playing Anti-Tank more than anything recently because no one else seems to want to.
...point being. Like the man above said, if it could be done I SURELY would have found it by now. I'm sick of putting multiple rockets into a tank from about 40 different angles; with limited sprinting ability.
there is no 1 shot 1 kills to tank, but i'll show u 2 shots/kill tank vs. tank
um scroll up a little or search around the forums because countless people seem to be able to do it and im one of them. 1 shot to tank WITH A TANK , not AT rocket i dont know where this guy got his information. As a matter of fact ive gotten very good at the 1 shot on a tank and as long as the enemy has the USMC tank its gotten relatively easy for me. No one has ever even bothered to ask me about it but the enemy tank drivers have to notice ill sit there taking hits without even moving while im lining up the shot. then when im all banged up and ive one shot destroyed them i ride off get out and crank my metal a$$ up rinse and repeat. As a matter of fact when im using a tank which i do quite often if i notice the enemy tank driver that pretty much doesnt panick and shoot like an idiot. who is lining up his shot for that sweet spot i sometimes angle my tank away so that even if im sitting there in his path he cant get that sweet spot. I cant really prove it to you in writing but my tank kill death ratio is 5.40 and i have over 10,000 tank kills mainly because the enemy tanks are not usually a threat to me unless theres someone behind the gun who knows what hes doing. the enemy tanks are no longer a threat because i can take them out before they realise what happened. the main threat i have while in that big metal box is really just c4.
I'm with ptegan here. Any "AT Expert" knows you can't 1-hit kill a tank with a rocket since rockets won't bounce like a tank shell will. In your thread that prompted this, most people had better explanations such as a TOW, two bits of damage in extremely rapid succession, or a phantom missile first.
It shouldn't be possible but I think it's got something to do with At mines, as in his shell moves your tank, it's hard to explain but I've been a victim of it.

TopGunGreg: Please tell me how the fsck a cheat could influence server variables if the server isn't compromised? It obviously doesn't happen on a regular basis which makes it smell like a bug. This game is the buggiest I've ever seen which makes it even more likely that it's a bug.

Our challenge to you: Show us a video that portrays a one-shot kill with an AT rocket on a healthy tank during an unedited, ranked, multiplayer game.
you can kill a tank with a one shot kill, but not with the AT (either SRAW or ERYX) but you can with another tank, if you shoot right under the nozzle of the tank, you got yourself a kill. the .sir community has made a vid of this.

I don't see it on a regular basis neither does the people I play with.
The other possible deduction is that these things are caused by bugs. Or perhaps your server is compromised and hacked to pieces.

That doesn't sound very plausible at all. It would also require a server side hack. I would say it was mines on the ground.

The LAV rapid fire is a known bug AFAIK only the first rocket does any damage. All you have to do is keep pressing fire (IIRC) and it doesn't show on the client.
I haven't seen the rapid fire AT but it's not implausible that it's caused by the same mechanism.
oh - I have seen it done and have had it happen to me too many times from both Tanks and AT my point is I think they are cheating and honestly want to be PROVEN wrong
I dont think it is cheating. For some reason, if you shoot a tank from a distance with a ERYX/SRAW it seems to do more damage than firing from up close. Maybe iit has something to do with the speed and force at which the rocket hits the tank?
