...and nobody does anything about that. On many servers the punishment for TK is even disabled.

Re: TK's over aircrafts keep happening...
We have voting disabled because of the vote bug and will continue to have it disable until its fixed.Originally posted by ARC|NoodlesI especially hate when they disable mutiny, so you cant vote against your idiot tk'ing commander who just hopped into the jet for the 3rd round in a row
However, a commander is not allowed to fly on our server, he will be asked to either command properly and leave the vehicle or resign, in fact its against the ROE for a commander to fly and command at the same time. This includes all servers including EA Official ranked servers.
Taken from the ROE
§2.3 You may not deliberately hinder your own team or acting in such as way as to cause team mates unavoidable deaths or team losses.
§ Commander flying or in a vehicle instead of commandingComment

Re: TK's over aircrafts keep happening...
If a commander flys on our "The Deadeyes" server we bf2cc warn him, and if he continues he is kicked. Now for the tking over jets, I have one there. On The Gulf of Oman I am the MEC commander, we have taken over everything on land. I order everyone to get in the AA turrnets and spread across the coast line, with 2 spec-ops constantly taking out the arty. I zoom in on the carrier to arty it, when I see a USMC AT Trooper and spec-op guy running after the jet in the middle of the carrier. The Spec-op gets there first so the AT backs off and tk's him with his rocket. On teamspeak out of game is an admin, so i say warn the guy, and he does. I remain zoomed over the carrier, and after the arty finishes I see dajvu (spelling is jacked) a carbon copy of it. They spawn at the same spots as before and boom AT guy does it again. Well admin out of game is not at his mic but I tell him to kick him, maybe ban for 60 minutes. Before he gets back he tk's him again with AT rocket to jet, and then tk's him again before he makes it to the jet. While seeing this I call for another arty strike on the carrier, and the admin is perma banning him. Well he must of thoought that he got the arty barge from EA, because he and the jet gets blown to pieces and gets banned 2 seconds later.Comment

Re: TK's over aircrafts keep happening...
I just dont see the point in Tking for a plane or vehicle...your not gonna save the world if your the one flying or driving..and a round is so short why bother.
I wait my turn or move on, I dont play the spamming E game and I dont Tk..its not worth it..
I feel so much better wating in line and letting a guy who was there before me give me a "thanks cheif I owe you one" and me going "roger that" and vice versa.Comment

Re: TK's over aircrafts keep happening...
An interesting solution to this problem is to make vehicles inaccessible for a short time period after you TK. Say 2-5 Minutes.
Enough so that you can't jump into the vehicle Immediately but not long enough that you are permantly punished if you mistakenly took your buddy out.Comment

Re: TK's over aircrafts keep happening...
And code the run-over tks as suicides. That way there is no incentative to force tk-punishes by the tard against the pilot he perceives as a another tard.
I say that if you bomb friendly positions, those are tk's and they should stand. I see this when friendly tags dont show up to the pilot in time, usually the tags appear somewhere between the noseover to the attack dive and after bomb release.
I say make friendly tags appear all the time with the ability to minimize to a "I" so it does not clutter a pilot's screen. I usually fly as a medic so that on my bomb run I see dead friendlys on the GPS, that is some assurance that the players on the ground is dead.Comment

On nthe contrary, since the patch I often see jets and helicopters standing on the runway/pad empty for several minutes.Comment

Me too. Actually, I see a lot of vehicles sitting untouched, including tanks.Originally posted by DrunkenPirateOn nthe contrary, since the patch I often see jets and helicopters standing on the runway/pad empty for several minutes.Comment

Re: TK's over aircrafts keep happening...
Very good idea, but it would need to be as short as possible, but longer than the respawn + average time to get to a vehicle. Something like 30 seconds should do it.Originally posted by dogboy71An interesting solution to this problem is to make vehicles inaccessible for a short time period after you TK. Say 2-5 Minutes.
