Wow... I think this post is just so you can tell us you like to whore around in a tank while commanding to get 2x the points.. PRetty soon, youll say TK for the jet and have a commander fly a jet AND command -_-

Personally, I think this is the worst guide ever.

The gist I got from his guide is that commanders can contribute something more to the team than just laying down and dropping supplies on enemy spec ops. I dont agree with leading the charge, but I do agree with guarding the back door.

I can name that guide for you: "How to armour whore your team to uncertain victory, and to the hatelist of all your teammates, on the only map that i play and where it's even remotely possible"

All you forgot was to encourage the really good players to TK for vehicles coz they cause the enemy to lose so much more tickets when they're in that tank or jet instead of those n00bs that shouldn't be allowed on any server to start with.

I wont say anything more but i sure do hope you'll never be the "commander" of the team i play on, win or not.

This guide is BS. If you are driving a tank and get enganged in battle, you cannot send UAV, supplies, spot or give orders. You are screwing your team over royally by putting your own score ahead of the team's goal, which is to win the round.

There have been so many times where I've been behind enemy lines as SpecOps, calling for supplies to blow their assets only to be met with radio silence. Then I look on the map and the commander is driving around in a tank or APC, totally oblivious to his squads' needs.

Listen Armin, it's ok to be armor whore but not while commanding. The idea of being a commander is to help your troops, not yourself. While killing the enemies with your tank, you cannot be in the commanding screen, and therefore you are not using the commander's assets properly. Obviously you are using all of the commander's toys and even vehicles only for your personal benefit, not for the team.
Regardless of everything, you have excellent global score and score per minute. I new that the secret to success is being an as$hole. And of course, Karkand is the best map to score points, but at the same time it's being exploited as a playground of the worst behaviors in BF2. That's why I don't play it anymore.

You made me laugh so hard reading that! I cant count how many times I've seen asshats like you attempting to whore points as fast as they can using armour and commander mode in tandem. No matter how "1337" you think you are, whoring bases as people spawn, Mr Karkand B*tch, you are actually screwing over your team. Being an ass an tk'ing for the tank and then commending yourself for it was the icing on the cake. I actually fell out of my chair, with tears streaming down my face when I read that nugget of comedy gold. Stick to being a funnyman, please, and leave people with actual commanding skill, and an I.Q. higher than their own buttocks to lead the team to victory.

This is the first commander guide I've seen that actually understands the reality of the game and gives solid advice.

for those of you that are probably wondering, if you're good @ comanding,fighting go for it. if you think that commanding is a 24/7 demanding job dont, you'll just get owned tryin to command&fight @ the same time. fighting comanders are rare, but if you find one that is good, you'd be amazed @ the difference one can make. oh and no... stats whore wouldn't be a description of it, because even tough you're getting kills you dont get points for 'em, only your team average...

Good players shouldn't sit around doing nothing. They should go win the game even if they're commander. Commanders don't win games. Good players do.

What he is doing, is dropping supply crates next to his tank, so he can stats pad, 2 or 3 crates almost impossible to kill the tank(except for c4), Self-centered I would say.

These days I tend to be sniper while commanding. That way I can pick of spec-ops from a distance and protect each asset with a claymore, knowing that if the SO does destroy it, I'm not going to tk the engineer who goes to fix it :)

hey GHAIB someone already mentioned this earlier ...........but i too want to c you on the other side when im commanding...... wow id get double the points for winning 5 out of 1 times (and thats conservative guess)

you do know that when u kill someone while commander u actually take away from your own commander points. and you dont get any kill points if your commander.

so if you want to play this way by all means please do tell me where u usually play(server ip?)

i am confused ...why be commander at all? get in tank get loads of kills .. be squad leader so u can ask commander for UAV and arty and supplies...u will get more points that way and maybe a decent commander which will hopefully help out the whole team and not just u.
ur a knob...and u ruin the game for other players....
