as for people laying infront of you, just make them "no more" when you run over them.

alcorr did this exact same thread in the questions for dice forums and i had the exact same reply.

I suggested this idea a couple of months ago. No change. YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SHOOT THE GLASS OF FRIENDLY TARGETS.

The Idea of a guy can´t pilot a vehicle during 1 minute after a tk, will solve all the prbolems...people tk to get in a vehicle, if it is impossible to get inside a vehicle as a driver would stop imediatly this kind of TK...pure and simple.


No need for scripts, no need for databases with tk´s...the problem would just disapear.

The simpler ways to solve a problem are the best ones, and I see in this thread ideas that are much harder to implement and with less probability of solving this probem.

But I realized nobody has commented my Idea...is it possible that I am seeing it Wrong?????

Sounds like a good idea, actually. But the problem arises when the people who teamkill for jets do other tactics, like the jeep block etc.

But then it be so that once a person is in a plane that's on the ground, the plane has a sort of "noclip" when it's taking off, so it simply goes through all the lamers and vehicles who jump or drive in the way.

I say that we just make a list of folks who tk for planes.
A list of folks who force you to tk them.
Put it togther and send it out to the private ranked servers.
Hopefully they will ban anyone on list.
Now we would need proof that this person did tk, etc.
When we allow folks to get away with this behavior we condone them to keep doing it. Hell if there is no real punishment then why should they stop? They are enjoying themselves. Ban the tards.

This thread is a good one with both sides of the issue.

I joined a public server recently and was first to get a jet. No problem. No one was really nearby anyways. During take off one person throws himself under the wheels and then punishes me for the Tk.

The next few minutes on the server was more of the same. I decided to remove myself from the game because 1- The TK punishes benefits the one who wishes to damage a player by creating a negative score against that person and 2- Tking for Jets and or creating situations where a Jet must runover some one or a group to take off is NOT what gaming is about.

I propose we either create a pilot class, establish new code to punish the person who intentionally causes a TK such as being in front of a plane in the process of taking off or using a sniper rifle to murder a teammate who had a equal chance of taking an asset like the Jet.

I doubt that such activites will stop anytime soon as people will show a bad side of wanting to hurt a teammates score or actually work against a team's efforts to win against a opposite team in a game.

Since the 1.2 patch, ALOT of people DO back off from whoever has the jet to give him or her free access to the runway without any Tk's those are the people you want to play with.

The game isn't the exclusive domain of the top anything.
Noobs payed the same amout as you did. Would be nice if they took the time to learn to fly off-line (or in an empty server), but whatcha gonna do?

They should just have a commander based system or something. Highest KD in a jet or most kills with a jet takes it or something.

I hate noobs in vehicles.

Agreed there must be some sort of system in place to put of tkers but to only let the top people fly the jet is ****.

Firstly people have paid to play the game at least let them have the oppertunity to play all aspects of it, its only fair and its only a game!

Secondly even with the patch all it takes is one pilot repeatedly base raping especially on wake island to ruin the game for everyone at least with a noob pilot you know they wont last too long

I think there's too much TK punishment already... I've gotten banned from servers a few times because I'll be in a tank and someone will try a Tianamen Square on me and stand in front of my tank, and I'll sit there waiting for them to move but they stare at me not moving, I try to go around, and they move to stay in front of me... or they'll drop mines in front of me or try to c4 me... then I give them their deathwish and run them over or shoot them, and I'll get banned. I say just log the IPs of people like this and ban them from Gamespy.

i really agree with the lowering of the threshholds idea cos it is relatively impossible to get 40 votes to vote kick someone out. i mean how stupid is it that the other team has to vote to kick your commander out?

I think it is fairly simple to solve this problem...not only for planes but for every vehicle.
Make a 1 minute ban on entering any vehicle as its pilot/driver for people that tk.
That would stop imediatly the tkiing for vehicles .

P.S. - Obviously people that are allready inside the vehicle won´t suffer any penalty.
