    Anti-Tank

Before getting the unlocks for anti-tank, I typically avoided the class as I found it underpowered and cumbersome: if there was a tank problem, C4 seemed to be a much more effective way to deal with it. However, now you can't launch C4 over obstacles, and now I've got used to fully automatic shotguns, I find that anti-tank are one of the most satisfying classes to play. Eryx-sniping, and taking out tanks with guided missiles to their tracks from across the map is insanely fun.

However, time and time again, I wish that I had a grenade to lob at a cluster of infantry: as yet anti-tank players have next to no capacity for confrontations with more than a couple of enemy infantry. It's particularly annoying when a squad is capping a flag, and a few grenades would completely clear the area. I mean, whats stopping the anti-tank soldier carrying a few grenades?

Also, whats up with the splash damage of the anti-tank missiles themselves? The radius is annoyingly small, meaning that it is unlikely that even a well placed missile will take out more than one hostile at a time.

Just wondered what everyone else thought of the class, and if anyone's experienced the same annoyances as me.

splash radius is fine. you don't want to see them used like noobtubes, would you?
But yeah..even 1 grenade would be nice

I'd like a couple of 'nades for AT aswell.

I've killed 3 infantry with one AT missle, they were medic whoring... nice thing about killling people with the AT missle is they don't come back, unrevivable

I wish more people on Karkand would use AT. As MEC all it takes to win the game and lock down the map is to prevent their vehicles from getting past the first flag, and all it takes to do that is 4 AT soldiers or so. I play AT most of the time now, usually with the P90 - it's a decent weapon that takes some getting used to before you really learn to pwn with it. I'll usually make an Anti-Tank squad and get everyone in it to follow me around with missles readied, instagibbing tanks left n right. It's a wonderful sight, but rarely does that kind of coordination happen in pubs.

Yeah its brilliant when you take out those pesky medic whores, especially those who then try and revive the obliterated corpse of their comrade. Classic.

agree, it'd be a usefull addition, but maybe AT would become a bit to powerfull.
its more usefull to play in squads, and let one of your buddys nade the place, you finnish off with the shotgun and cap the flag

i agree with shadow.. the splash radius sucks big time. I dont know how many times i had the rocket launcher out and ready to shoot at a tank and i turn the corner to take him out and low and behold there is a bad guy 20 feet from me. I dont have time to switch to my gun so i shoot the missle at his feet and he isnt even hurt! I think thats a little ridiculous...

i had the same multiple times, and sometimes i die of it, and the other guy doesnt, while its closer to him than to me, and i had full health....kinda weird

Glad to see you realized that there is a class for every situation...and not ONE class for ALL situations like most Spec Ops players seem to think

That is the disadvantage to the AT kit...no 'nades and limited anti-infantry power. Just get good at using your pistol, staying out of harms way, and picking them off one at a time

It'd probably be handy to have the odd support or medic in your squad; I find that when playing as anti-tank I eat through ammo, and often lose health from sniper ground fire.

Totally agreed. I have the unlocks to thank for my epiphany surrounding anti-tank; previously I was always spec ops or medic. Nowadays, anything goes.

Playing as engie or anti-tank is probably some of the best pistol training you can get- its your only defence at medium to long range [if you dont have the P-90 or MP7 that is].

one support, one medic and 3 AT is best i think...

the DAO-12 is second to none at close quarters but i agree a few nades would be nice!

Despite loving the DAO to bits, I'd have to disagree. If you're good with the AK's, you present a significant match to the DAO - especially as you dont have to worry about eating through an entire clip, which is a frequent problem in those frantic close quater battles with the DAO.
