Also, a thing to remember. Demo's are merely marketing tools - designed purely to wet your appetite and crave the product. To do that, it needs to be spotless and run on as many platforms and in as many different scenarios (hardware setups) as possible. So they may purposely surgically remove the things that cause the most stress. A possability that shouldn't be ignored. :)

even so when i first bought this game 1.0-1.3 patch it ran just like the demo. They wouldnt dumb it down they would try to make it better on final if they could.. Thats with any game i ever bought. FEAR/quake etc all same as demo if not better after patch(s)

Its the patch(s).. sound bug or something is all I can think of because it has most effect on the game

sorry to sound noobish but geforce go 7800gtx ,thats not a laptop card ? is it?

my 2600+xp and 1gb ddr with a 6600gt (agp) runs at 40average and 70 on some single player maps,

i trust u have a good firewall and anitivirus ? as i didnt see them in youre startbar in pic (allthough the icon could be hidden)

with a 7800 you should be able to run some stuff on high,

would really like to no how hot ur pc is getting?
when was the last time you put some heatspreader on youre heatsink? (recomend silver compound heatspreader) its best to change it once a year to prevent overheating,

whats youre ram (ddr 400)? and what mobo are you using?

and the most inportant thing have you installed the newist or any chipset drivers?

i no it may seem like im asking you alot of silly q's but how do i no that you no thease things :)

if you can give me the answers to my q's i may be able to continue in getting you somewhere with you 7800,well hopfully :)

he probably knows what hes doing. I dont remember what fps hes getting but 1.12-1.2 give fps hits. No driver tweaks or changes will do anything. maybe its only with certain people??

Can run around same settings. Have to lower sound to softeware/med and just cant really play on 64man servers or ill be hitting low 30s when in demo I would only hit high 40-50 and high 30s if artillery etc. This is with action going around in the demo. On avg around 60-80 or 100 depending on number of players 32 is very high in demo 70-100avg 64 man servers demo 60-70s. final game 50-40s like i said before

i agree that the demo may run at higer fps but it doesnt run better than 1.2 with all its unlocks ect<--- gameplay not fps :)

i was only asking about virus n stuff cus after looking at the pic he posted i noticed 2 lan icons on his startbar= usally does that to me if i turn my firwall off,the one that comes with windows.but i could be wrong.1 also didnt see any antivirus running? all giving me the impresion that the cpu was infected with spam,which in turn would slow down pc/or laptop in this case.

about the heat laptops get very hot(if it a laptop) but applying new heatsink is often missed by alot of ppl(on pc not laptops )

oh he said 17-35fps on a 3.2ghz cpu 1gddr 7800 gtx(all on low) witch is awfull,hence me giving a few suggestions,i have more but i want to no if its a laptop for sure 1st.

Actually there shouldn´t be much reason for 1.12 or 1.2 running so much worse on some systems. It looks like the BF2 engine really has some design problems, as they explicitly said they won´t add more unlocks due to memory restrictions.
There isn´t so much difference between demo and 1.12 as to sanely justify the halving of framerates on some systems.
Luckily, after a full reinstall of my system game runs at least playable again, after 1.12 made it unplayable before (For no good reason).

I have reinstalled/reformated everything. 1.12-1.2 fps is bad 1.3 or demo fps good
