Good news for your pops then! There are upper receivers for AR-15's becoming availible chambered in 5.7!

This will drive the price on ammo down as demand goes up. Check out www.ammoman.com as they occaisionally sell lots at good prices.

At least one of the following needs to be changed.

1: 900 RPM for quicker kills.
2: 22 - 24 damage. (Realistic, 5.7x28mm rounds are nothing like 9x19mm rounds)
3: Higher accuracy. (Whole point of slow fire rate SMG's is having control on full auto.


So it should either do more damage, fire faster, or be able to get some long range shots accurately like the G36C can.

As for me, I'm perservereing with it, just out of sheer bloodimindedness. If I use it for long enough, I'll figure out how to get the best out of it.

As it stands though, the MP5 is a better choice (especially since they improved it for 1.2) for general stuff, and if you want to rule the alleys, go with the DAO.

thats absolutely fuggin retarded.
wether or not you 'love' it, the fact remains that it is pitifully worse than even the default submachineguns it replaces. now none of the unlocks are supposed to be *significantly* better, but they all offer features or facets that make them viable choices over the default weapons.

the P90 is far worse than the MP5 it replaces. and really, i dont care if you are 'good with it' - that means jack $hit. if you are good with the p90 that just means you are good with SMGs in the game. the fact remains that you would be far better with the MP5.

I have been trying to give the P90 a chance...but I would almost rather use my pistol

the p90 is beaten by the MP5 in every way except in clip size. but the larger clip just puts it in line with the 1.5 times as many rounds on someone to kill them.

the p90 doesnt necessarily need to be made into some uber weapon. it just needs some feature that makes it a viable choice over the MP5. it doesnt have to be better than the MP5, but it should be more or less equal with a different feel or different strength.

right now it has no strength over the MP5, which is the default weapon. if they left it like it is and made it a bit more accurate, or instead made it ignore armor, or even increased the ROF a little it would be balanced. the way it is now you would be nuts to use it, and i feel sorry for anyone that unlocked it as anything but their last unlock.

I think the P90's fine, when zoomed into the sight (and I always love the red dot scope) the deviation is very minor, so it's possible to spray an enemy at about medium range and still kill them without suffering/much- what I hate since the patch is how they turned the AT rockets into useless flying tubes of rubber. They should have realised that the vehicle's power is more than sufficient already, making AT firepower weaker will simply turn BF2 into an ALL VEHICLE, ALL AIRCRAFT game. It's already happening. I've noticed that hardly anyone plays as AT anymore. Most seemed to have converted to Engineers because at least the ATMines are not half as useless as rockets.

After they nerfed the AT kit, Songhua Stalemate has become impossible to play as an infantry. As long as the APC is there, no one on foot has a chance.

i enjoy playing with the P90, i think it was worth the unlock. while it does suck that it is underpowered, it is a hell of a lot better then the MP-5.

Yes indeed, there is a P90 now. It is relatively accurate. However- unlike the real thing, it's rate of fire is rather slow, yet the damage is reasonable. However they have kept to the 50 a clip.

Because we need to assign it a level of crap.

I rather use the mp5 instead of this garbage, I see nothing good about this weapon, it's rate of fire suck balls, it does barely any damage and compared to the one in RL, this is no comparison. It's a weapon that's is worse than standard weapon.
