correction: choppers never got their armor reduced, they dont have any armor. Even a knife can bring down their health(pre 1.2). what they got reduced is the health.
Choppers r still playable on certain maps and on certain side.

Oh hi btw i just signed up to this forum and finding it very useful :)

Only reason im hating it is just after i installed the 1.22 patch my alt account p/w has gone missing ( i dont use the 1 i started the game with as my son plays that 1 ). I always use the same cluster of p/w's so i know it isnt something ive forgotten,
i have 10k ish global points now and cant login with my main dude.
I have tried to make a new p/w by using gamespyid thingy but it only recognises my main dude a being on there.
If any1 can point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it as i dont want to have to start the game again

seems we back to square one, in my book. Air rules.
Yes, you can take down planes and choppers with AA. Maybe.
You know the game is gheyed, when the same douschbag can dive bomb with the 5 bombed spammarola plane for a whole round and not die once.
Blah blah.....i heard all the crap, "your team sucks" "you suck" "aa works you just dont know how to use it" and other stupid things. If a plane can get within 100 feet of the ground for a bomb run, based soley on balancing and fun factor, it deserves to go down from a shotgun. Yeah, im stretching it, but you know what i mean.

actually thats not the way it should be, I think that every plane should have strength and weaknesses to make the game more balanced overall.

I dont know this patch regardless of what they did, or didnt do, dont seem good. I think the previous one, they actually had the game as close to perfection as you could get it, balance wise. So....whatever they did in this latest one, it ruined it. At least thats what im seeing while playing anyways.

Yeah I agree but despite those strength and weaknesses they should be even. There is nothing you can do in a F35 exept bomb the crap out of the poor guys on the ground

I love it. The game i less of an arcade shooter and more metodical and thinking. The way bf2 should alwayas have been imo.

Man, its odd you say that, because I was thinking the opposite. Seems more arcadic, versus what you say, metodical.....and thought. Oh well, different folks, different strokes they say. Im not argueing your point, btw, just pointing out that I feel differently from you. Strange indeed.

I feel the same as I did when I orignally started this post. The patch and all subsequent patches have hurt the game. I have been parked on sand in helo (Gulf of Oman) and watched the surface to air dude (on the OTHER side of the 1-story barrier wall, y'know the wall kinda lookin thing most Oman bases have around the perimeter) fire a surface-to-air rocket, wa tched the rocket leap over the wall, then descend immediately to hit me square. Do you get what I am saying? The rocket did an upsideown 'U'. It's crap like that ruins the experience for me.

The patch was not bad in theory but in reality they just went way too far on the other side of problem... and I have seen no EA effort to fix any of it. How does one get their attention!?!?!?

The best chopper pilots still do fine, try playing against PIC.ToAge and his gunner. I'm wary of them and I fly a plane!

Look how much heli and jet whoring happens. They are stupidly over-powered! They just are, there's no debate! You hit a base-raping chopper with two stingers (if there's even a launch site nearby) and it goes off to repair!
