I play Commander a lot. I try to find a safe place to do my job. If it's a big map there's lots going on. Everyone wants arty. Everyone wants UAV. Everyone wants supplies. If you don't give it to them they initiate a Mutiny vote. Or if some jerk comes into the game after it starts and has a higher rank and wants to be Commander he initiates a Mutiny. If the enemy comes after my assets I have to fight them off. Difficult. They blow assests. I fix as quickly as possible. More guys calling for assets but they are blown. Whats the result? Initiate a Mutiny.

If it's a small group of people on the server I may attempt to engage in combat if I'm needed. Otherwise I leave all planes, tanks and APC's to the guys in the action.

every other game i play now seems to have a ****ty commander on my team... i don't know if they're just retarded or if they're point whoring... all i know is that they don't UAV or anything and they don't leave the base... they just sit there and die and i can never get enough mutiny votes to kick them out... and they're commander EVERY game... it's like they're just point whoring and leaving the game on while not doing anything to get free commander points... there should be an autokick thing for idle commanders... i can be commander, but i'm sick of it... i have expert commander already, so it's pretty much worthless progressionwise since i don't get any team points for it and it will just hinder my progress towards other badges... and i'm tired of babysitting teams... it just ****es me off... i don't care how bad a commander sucks as long as he listens to my requests and can UAV the right areas... and bonus if he can spot enemies.

As a frequent commander I can say that there is nothing wrong with commander staying in the base (even though I've capped and defended flags as a commander when the team wouldn't respond to the orders) as long as you provide your team with constant UAV/ Artillery/ Supply/ support as soon as they reload. As far as the same people getting the commanding spots, that's up to the rank of the people applying for commander. Higher rank has priority.
