every other game i play now seems to have a ****ty commander on my team... i don't know if they're just retarded or if they're point whoring... all i know is that they don't UAV or anything and they don't leave the base... they just sit there and die and i can never get enough mutiny votes to kick them out... and they're commander EVERY game... it's like they're just point whoring and leaving the game on while not doing anything to get free commander points... there should be an autokick thing for idle commanders... i can be commander, but i'm sick of it... i have expert commander already, so it's pretty much worthless progressionwise since i don't get any team points for it and it will just hinder my progress towards other badges... and i'm tired of babysitting teams... it just ****es me off... i don't care how bad a commander sucks as long as he listens to my requests and can UAV the right areas... and bonus if he can spot enemies.

Ya, I find it annoying as well. It's not that I don't know how to command, its that I just don't want to do it every game. A commander does not even have to listen to requests, as long as he is actually doing SOMETHING while hiding out. There are some out there that will not do anything until they are asked. That's just as annoying as doing nothing at all, I hate to lose maps and will command myself just to get some ARTY support and UAV's for the rest of the guys on the map. -

Yeah, maps like Sharqi and Karkand are the most important for a competent commander just because they're small and knowing where everyone is is crucial, especially if you're the defenders since I play with the attitude that no flags really matter except the base flag. I'd rather the attackers take all of the flags and have a stalemate at the main base than have the main base get taken but all of the other flags free. I'll drop everything to leave my position and defend the base, and I'm usually the only one. Everyone else acts completely oblivious.Comment

If we get a bad commander, I'll step up to the plate and do it myself. I'm not the best commander out there by a long shot, but if no one's applying except some dumbass who just clicks Apply to leech points, it's better than nothing.
Had one game where the commander did exactly that, applied, got it, then went AFK for the entire round and came back with top score.

An autokick for idle commanders would fix this... because mutinying just doesn't work, and I don't want the vote score to be lower because there's always some jackass who will mutiny for no reason. I hate when I'm commander and someone will start a mutiny... and I'll say fine, someone else command... and no one steps up to the plate. It's stupid that commanders don't get teamwork points. They should get points just like everyone else and the actual commander points should be reworked. Points should be awarded for artillery kills, or kills within the UAV rather than just some calculation of everyone's score.Comment

is to leave the server

and you want to command and keep getting beat out by a higher rank
just ask the admin

I go commander more and more lately, as the only ribbon I'm missing is the War College one and I want to work to that.
Lots of people complain you don't UAV or Arty, but they don't realize that the enemy has destroyed all the commander assets, and I'm using the supply drop to try and save our aromr.

I play commander as hard as I can.... well at least until we get a 50 to 60 ticket lead. Then I start whoring for badges... like zip, gas, grapple... The team usually don't complain... I LOVE getting gold stars for doing nothing ... lol.
