yeah it would be nice if someone could send you that file, i took a exe file from 1.12, it started the insstall and so but i got the normal patch failed hope it work with the real exe file.

That's an oxymoron. There is the full patch, then there is the incrememtal. There is no full incremental.

My apologies - bit of a typo. I have an issue of thinking about things and accidentally typing them as a result.

Hmm, update response at EA. Seems there are some Windows files in the registry that need to be removed. Wonder if that will work? Also, I'm wondering if it's because I'm connecting to the Internet through a router via AOL. Perhaps I should reinstall the router?

This is getting ridiculous. EA's customer support is appauling. They just copy and paste solutions. I'm surprised I haven't been given a solution of "Sorry to hear you're having troubles with BF:Vietnam". Morons.

Okay, some news:

I installed the 1.12 patch in an attempt to do 1.12 - 1.2 incremental. Patching failed. BUT.. when I installed 1.2 full, it worked.. Okay, wierd. BUT, it wouldn't let me even log in to the account server. Said the server refused the connection. Is there a solution to this, because if so, we may have found a cure!

Sorry if this is a dumb ass noob question... but all this patch-version talk has me scratchin' my noggin!

My game says it is : 1.1.2696-528.0 Is this the latest patch? Ver 1.2 ? Or am I still running 1.12... everytime I close my eyes all I hear is laughing
