Most of the time if it's USMC vs MEC than MEC = Dark uniform and USMC = Light Uniform, helps alot.

You notice other details afterwards too

The USMC Uniform is clearer than the rest, so if ur a USMC and a guy in a darker uniform comes up, shoot, if a guy in a light colored uniform comes up dont shoot. Also, they fixed the name tag thing.

Yes, most definately the lack of the blue tag above there heads.
That is how I try to sort the good guys from the bad guys...

The light/dark coloration of uniforms really is the best way. USMC is light colored, ALL others are dark (when playing vanilla BF2). It doesn't matter how far away the person is either, if you can spot them you can tell the coloration.
