i too have only played bf2... but ive seen bf vietnam advertisements in some oldgaming magazines and it looked pretty nice..not sure why ppl really h8 it

I loved BF1942 from the day it came out. Great graphics, VEHICLES, and huge maps! But after a couple years it started to get dry. I could never get involved with playing FH or DC since I just couldn't stand the unprofessional and unorganized feel those mods had. Every month or so the mods would have huge gameplay changes and that was getting hard to keep up with. What finally killed the mods for me was that clans were getting too involved with development and because of that fun elements started to disappear (like the suicide bomber in DC) from them.

Luckily by this time BF:V was out and my initial reaction was great but it didn't last once I found out there weren't very many changes from '42. I did however enjoy the map layout and gameplay style of that game...but unfortunately there wasn't much other than that to keep me interested. PoE was the only mod I tried for this game and it was a great mod, it kept me playing BF:V for longer than I would have without it.

Now, BF2 is a different story. It is a huge refresh to the series and added sooo much more content and features. It got rid of the slippery infantry feel that the others had...which was very important. It is easily the most impressive and fun to play of the series. Is it my favourite? That's hard to say since I have A LOT of great memories from '42...so I'm going to call it a tie. Even though I probably won't be playing '42 again any time soon.

A game having huge gameplay changes every few months because of complaints from the community...sounds familiar...
