Yes, the server keeps track of it, and when you join, it will recall what it has stored for you and assigns it to you.

Even if you don't rejoin, that score is still saved, and still sent to gamespy.

Yeah, I once got a gold medal on a server 10 or so minutes after I was kicked for teamkilling. Damn laser missiles missing their targets...and the punishing teammates that think you did it on purpose.

I cant believe theres so much debate, its a FACT that the servers sends a snapshot of scores to the stats server at the end of every single round.

As soon as you have played for at LEAST 5 minutes on said server then you will have your stats updated accordingly, if you play less then 5 minutes your stats will not be updated.

Obviously if the server crashes before the end of the round then it will not update.
