Welcome to the brotherhood, alecs. I was lucky enough to get a premium system a month or so ago at Target. If you kept looking around you might have found one. They really are worth looking for since you get the HD, Headset, Wireless Controller, and Xbox Live Gold Membership for $400. Instead you'll only have the Core System, Wired Controller, and have to buy the HD seperately. That alone is costing you $400.

By the way, what games do you have?

Is that what that is??? I think my system is over heating, and i've gotten a blinking red circle 3 or 4 times now. It also gets loud somtimes. I'm going to move it as fast as i can, lol. At first i thought my system died, i was about to raise hell on the xbox.com forums, but then i turned it off for a minute or two, and it was fine for another few hours untill i got off. No problems.

Oh well, i already have a live membership, and i really don't mind the wired controllers. The only thing i really need is the headset after i buy my hard drive.

Oh i got PGR3, visually it's amazing, it's quiet fun to play to, and it gives you geometry wars wich is fun aswell.

So far it's been a great experience, all i need to do is get my hard drive, and wait for ghost recon advanced warfighter to release. :)

the xbox 360's GPU and the 7800GTX are the same exact thing, if you overclock your going to get a huge performance increase compaired to the 360
lets see you overclock your 360's gpu once technology rises and games become more and more demanding
while your playing your measly 16 player online games im enjoying 20-100 players on my pc :)

I'll be buying a 360 no doubt. But pc will always be superior. I can't wait to see you in a year playing your games with medium detail because the 360's harware is starting to get dated while my pc will be playing things on high PLUS a massive resolution while your still enjoying your AMAZING HD resolution of 1024x768

I heard perfect dark zero was bad to, that's why i'm waiting for ghost recon advanced warfighter and Oblivion, oh, and i did get my 360 off my carpet. I do think it was over heating.

The 7800 GTX is no where near being the 'same thing' as the Xbox 360 GPU. Get your head out of the clouds.

alecs - Definately keep the Xbox 360 off of the carpet. Static electricity isn't good for any kind of electronic equipment. Also, you may want to sit the Xbox horizontally instead of vertically. You might end up scratching the game discs if it's standing vertically. Other than that, all you have to do is enjoy the thing.

Perfect Dark: Zero might be worth a rent for you. The graphics are gorgeous and there's some pretty fun moments through out the game. I wouldn't suggest wasting your money and buying it though.

so i dont have to upgrade my pc ( alot of money )

next battlefield is coming and its future style ( because of quake wars )

and quake wars is gonna own so BF3 will be beter because DICE want money :P

Even though i have it for pc, how is it for the 360?

It has some real bad problems with the MP in this game. There should be a patch coming out to fix the issue with xbox live and this game.

Well, actually i bought my 360 for mainly Ghost recon advanced warfighter, and PGR3. Wich are both not on the PC (of course there is a version of graw on the PC, but it doesn't look as good and quiet different, IMO, and i alwase loved GR2 on my xbox) You could also point in the factors that i might even buy Oblvion. Same on the PC? Yes. But do i have to worry about my system not running it well? No! And i know it wouldn't do well. (even though i have a somewhat decent system, compared to the 360? No.)

If you'd looked for a xbox360, you'd probably know how bad it is to actually find the damn system. I must have spent enough gas money to buy myself 4 premiums before i just broke down and went with the core. It wasn't worth it. I am now looking for a hard drive, and already just bought a headset and PGR3. Maybe i'm spending more money, but i honestly don't know with the shipments barely comming in here, because i'd probably spend more with gas money, as said. Oh noes, no wireless controllers lol. :)

I'm also looking at cod2 still, and Gears of War. Time will tell. Happy gaming, cya on Quake Wars. (sorry if i sounded angry, i just am because that's the truth, Microsoft should have had more xbox360s out there, premiums, so things like this don't happen. I'm glad i did find one.)

Will you be able to run the Construction Set for Oblivion and install mods and such with your 360? It might be hard creating levels with just a gamepad though. Are they making a keyboard for 360?

In the end, Im still playing with a mouse and keyboard and 64 players, oh and the mods that come out for different games, for you, your games will die out in a year, while I'm still playing mine because mods increase its life. Have fun with your 24 player, stale, uneditable game :)
theres just so many more advantages compaired to a console, which makes the extra cash so worthwhile.
