The shell glances are easy to see, try shooting around corners. Explosion decals show up on the wall as well as where you were aiming.

Basically, I got booted from The Pink Panther's server tonight for an alleged 1 shot kill tank exploit. This made me think, as I hadn't to my knowledge done anything wrong!?

During the game I remembered that I had been awarded some MIA2 kills when I was in a tank and hadn't fired a single shot at anybody. Then I figured it out - I was using the Engineer Kit and planting mines (map was Daqing Oilfields), and what I think is happening is if someone runs over your AT mines whilst you are currently in a vehicle then the kills get recorded as kills for the vehicle you are in!!!

I later verified this when I also received FAV kills whilst driving a jeep. This must have been for more mine kills elsewhere on the map. Sure enough when I drove back to where I'd dumped the mines some of them were now gone.

Anyway, just to let the rest of you guys and more importantly DICE/EA know.

The one shot kill is NOT a myth. I have made over 6 videos of it. I can do a 1 shot kill on any APC or tank. And it is reproduceable.

What you are speaking of is a glitch that happens sometimes>The other day I shot a jet down with my jeep and a F35 crashed into the wreckage and said SHADOW2492 (f35) someone .

There are two shot kills and one shot kills. To get a one shot kill the shell has to ricochet on the tank 2 times. For a two shot kill one of the shots has to ricochet once

the one shots will look like this ----------- \/\ so to speak it hits the front downwards then hits the top part of underneath the turret then bounces down for the third hit

With practice its actually very easy to pull off at least 25% of the time, its usually worth taking the first hit to get over the one side of the enemy tank rather then firing head on.

SHADOW et al., yes I think we've established that it's not a myth. Regardless, it's an inconsistency that clearly caused this particular admin to overreact. The only reason I was particularly annoyed by it was the round was nearly over and I was in Gold Medal position. Needless to say by the time I rejoined, the round ended and I got Silver.

Anyway, probably time to let this thread die.

No if it's AT kit's then a it's a hack dude. Just like forever flares. Both are hacks, and might not work under 1.2. I googled some hacks to see if this was true. That may be what the admin was thinkin'. I'm not sure.

I get killed all the time by 1 shot missles from an AT kit. I hate it.

Not by other tanks. I havn't had that problem.

http://media.putfile.com/oneshots Was around ever since retail BF2 came out. I made it at the very begining when people were screaming about there being no one shot kills. That said, the Weaksauce series goes into more detail, though they were made for a different purpose. Mine was to prove it can be done, his was to show where it can be done.
