    Yep, in the new "patch" a sniper will only be allowed to place 2 claymores. Once a third one is placed, the first one disappears.

      The problem is that even engineers don't cut it a lot of the time. Throw one on the ladder base at the hotel on Karkand, and you know what an engineer will do? Nothing, you have to go all the way around to the staircase, or backtrack around the building and step into the mainroad crossfire, just so you can get behind it.

      An engineer is only useful if the claymore is in a spot you can actually move by it. The only "real" solution is to bring a medic and have someone kamikazi it.

      AT mines are a similar problem, but at least with AT mines, you're targetting vehicles, which are heavily driven and supported by engineers to begin with, they don't blow up troops (which do far more point capping than vehicles), they don't blow up the people trying to disarm them, and they were designed to constrict access to a point, whereas claymores were simply designed to keep a sniper from getting stabbed.

        Community Update - 2/21/06

        Good day soldiers, We want to let you know that we have been making great progress on patch 1.21 and are happy to share with you some of the issues that are being addressed. The patch will be tested in a limited beta starting the end of this week. We're working around the **** to minimize your wait on the release of 1.21 but at the same time want to make sure that the patch is thoroughly tested before it goes out officially.

        Below is a list of the current confirmed fixes
        -Crash bug when using Hummer with TOW in the Special Forces expansion pack has been fixed
        -Screen capture is now working
        -Performance issues with certain ATI cards has been addressed
        -Server browser can now filter by map name
        -Claymores - the number that can be dropped at any one time has been reduced to 2
        Once again thank you for your patience and see you all on the Battlefield!

        what about the Anti Tank Rounds, the Crazy ass AA missiles, the Redeblue tag, the SOund glitchs. !!!!!!!!!!
