Firts off, you can still set if off at your feet and kill yourself and the enemy right next to you. If you shoot it at hmmvve's like 5 to 10 feet away they will just bounce off of it?? GL was supposably desing againts' jeeps and the sort, but no. Their 50 cal rip me up because the GL just bounce of it. And what's up with the radius of the explotion?? Is not like the damn thing is accurate now you have to be dead on with it. So pretty much the GL is done, thanks alot DICE.

what you mean is it need some skill to use now?
It has an arming time of about one second stand about 10 meters away from the target and that should be plenty of space for you to blow the hell outta stuff :)

The new GL grenades don't bounce off the ground at all. THey simply stick and blow when the arming time has elapsed. They sort of bounce off walls, but the only true thing they bounce off is vehicles. The physics associated with the grenade fired from the GL isn't right.

I do believe it's because of the utter failure that is the BF2 physics system. The grenades do actually bounce off the ground, but the ground is a lot like jello right now, so it'll go perhaps 10 centimeters and then detonate. If you did the same thing while on a tank, you'll see that the grenade does indeed bounce near realistically. I think it might be because the ground needs to be "soft and sticky" so that cars, tanks and European midgets from outer space can stay on it with the illusion of traction. Utterly lame if you ask me, but then again, you're not asking me, are you?

- Doesn't Really Bounce off Anything
- Still doesn't seem to kill an enemy up close if it hits them right at their feet
- When firing it seems like it lags before it fires

GL is still screwed up as it is, thats why I use teh G3

Its discouraged people, sure the full on GL zomg people will easily adapt once they learn the physics but generally it's discouraged a lot of people.

1.2 patch has caused many people to switch weapons. I found there aren't many people using the GL anymore but rather the actual primary weapon which is the way it suppose to be. I have lossed my luv for the assault kit after the advances in support and the MG36C :)

I find I have no issues with the new GL and getting plenty of kills. In fact last night I killed 2 people with 1 GL twice in a row, it was pretty sweet. Instead of the normal complaining everyone was congradulating me on a double kill with the new GL.

As for the bouncing, honestly I wish the dang thing bounced a little bit further. I never noob tubed and I never will, so for me having it bounce off close surfaces means I can FINALLY nade around corners.

I for one like the changes to the GL. Other night in a match, there was a support guy gunning down our team as we walked up the steps on sharqi. I switched to Gl, bounced it off the wall and killed him.
