Aahhhh whats all this I see... Gimpys had a melt down!

All true though Gimps, hence why Ive avoided the place in the last couple of weeks, bar the media area which the flames dont seem to reach to often. I kind of expected this though with the new patch/changes this kind of thing always seems to start the moaning, complaining and general agrumentative mood in here. It'll die down in a "bit" Im sure.

          Lol!

Mrs and I were both commenting on how we should have that bit o bling.
We both seem to be the ones that managed to get nailed by the first round in an arty strike or the only ones outta the whole squad that get nailed.

When we're standing close to each other, it's a very good time for everyone else to RUN!

              Re: Setting some facts straight

The problem isn't "too many complaint threads", it's lack of organisation of the forums.

There needs to be a dedicated BF2 Complaint Forum.
              1. BF2 Discussion
              1a. Tips and Tricks
1b. P!ss and Moan about the newest patch

Have a sticky for each complaint/bug category within that forum. Seems like it would be easier to Mod a few stickies than try to sort each posted complaint that's been posted 5842 times. Really, these boards are becoming hard to read, as reasonably good content gets pushed off to the 4th page between daily visits.

Mods are overtaxed? Then recruit more Mods. Anyone with a feel for wholesale deletion of any complaint topic already covered in the aforementioned stickies would fit the bill.

                Re: Setting some facts straight

All those complain threads are just making people angree, all the bs around a new patch. People will just have to live with it and get used to it, or stop sharing us their complaints, it's indeed ruining the community.

Ive said it before, I'll say it again. Arty aint personal. Its about the people you hang with.

Sorry, sorry sorry, for being off-topic. Another problem on here. Mods, listen up, wipe off any post thats even slightly off topic - would solve most problems.

The BF2-community is something 'special' that much is true. I don't know why this is but I would presume it's the stats combined with the non weighted score for vehicles vs infantry. There also seem to be alot of infantry players who can't stand the vehicles having an advantage over them. Even when they're the wrong class.

True and not true. As you are aware noob used to be an idiotic way to say newbie. Most mainstream games try to be easy to start with but should have depth or the infamous skill ceiling.

The thing is that people have started to use noob as a substitute for moron and llama. I've been called a noob several times when I've killed someone which is somewhat odd. If you are killed by a newbie what does that make you?

There are a lot of persons that will never see the insides of a forum. That's why I dislike people who claim to speak for a large part of the community. The forum community is not the whole community. I've no idea how many percent of the playerbase that even uses forums regualarly but I'd venture that it's way below fifty percent.

What's stinking up these forums is the endless injections of "whaa" into threads that are intended for discussion. Ya don't like an element of the game? Don't post in a thread where people are trying to talk about how to adapt. Simple. Stay the farq out. We really need some Admin support in this regaurd. The signal to noise ratio has gotten stupid lately.
There is a difference between criticising meta whining and criticising constructive criticism. The former is just plain hypocritical and the latter can be justified.

It's all to do with forum moderation I'm afraid. "When the cat's away the mice will play." That's no slight on Talus' abilities, but if the mods are overworked or undermanned, then more must be recruited.

I can't count the number of 1.2 patch threads that have been created over the last week, nor the number of "Pro pilot's thoughts on blah blah blah" threads. Limit them to one or two appropriately titled threads and lock the rest. This way we stop diluting the forum with the same old threads and reduce the anger levels.

there is a lot of problems with the patch. I dont see how people saying what is there issues as a problem. No one is forcing you to read what they are saying

list of 40+ bugs beacuse of the patch

There was topics like this when the game first came out.. Just opinions/ideas/problems

Why you think we have all the changes to the game right now? beacuse people did what people now are doing. The next next patch will probably have a lot of game play changes again
