If there weren't points no one would play, there would be no point.... errrm points are the point??? Sure its just a game and the overall objective is to have fun, but its fun to see how many points you can score, how well your squad can do, and games that come down to 1 or 2 tickets are awesome.

I think, especially with the improvements made to the sniper rifles, that high scores for snipers shouldn't be all that difficult. I will admit, its probably easier to go around healing people the whole round. However, on Mashtuur the other day my buddies and I got 1st, 3rd, and 6th place because we were in the right spots at the right times. We were all snipers... It was fun!

I'm not saying get rid of the points or stats.It's nice to get first place and get a lot of points. It just seems like people are so concerned about getting the next rank,medal,badge,etc., that they couldn't care less about working as a team to win.

How many people do you see on maps like Karkand staying back and defending flags? A lot a people play just to get points. They don't care about winning or losing.

True that. I'd rather my team win than come in first. Nothing more frustrating than a team that doesn't help out.

Um... no. A sniper outside of the battlefield can maintain a pretty kill/death ratio, as well as get 30-40 points a round if they are good.

A sniper that's good at being JUST outside the combat zone, or even just inside it, can be much better. Average 50+ if they're any good.

I came 1st with a score of 119 yesterday, playing as sniper. Second place had 74. I was never in an armor, vehicle, or mounted weapon. Not to mention I'm really not that good with sniper, I prefer playing up close as medic, =)

Nah.. sniper's dont need a boost, saying so as a long time sniper addict. With the increased numbers of snipers trying out their flashy L96's, snipers are already fairly numerous (although this is declining, probably because of support's superiority at the moment).
Point boost is definately would unbalance things.

That said.. some sort of reward for consistant marksmanship would make things interesting.

Being sniper won't always bring you the highest scores perhaps, but killing someone as sniper gives me a lot better feeling than fragging someone's nuts of, since a sniper kills is a lot harder.

I wouldn't really care if snipers would get more points. The only disadvantage in here is the increased amount of snipers around. BF 1942 was partially ruined because of people who though sniper was an ultimate kit. Really funny to play on a server with 32 players and 10 snipers per side. If there would be some kind of limit of snipers, then I would accept but it would be quite stupid if you couldn't play the kit you want to. I have to say no...

It might not giv you the most pionts, but after you have a cool rank(1st Leuitanant or higher) you dont have to care about pionts, the fact that we can put someone down over the whole view distance while automatics cant even with 30 to 100 bullets is just so coooool. Find some good sniper spots(not gonan tell ya) and you will get many pionts.

oke one hint: Ghost Town, near Convoy,(especially when enemy has Convoy Flag) now you guys go figure it out.
