or the lack of Sniper points.
I've been playing Sniper a little since the update, and have realised that it's the worst class there is for earning points.
Snipers are'nt equipped to cap flags and they get no team points like most other class' do for doing pretty much nothing, like Support dropping Ammo or Medic dropping Health/Reviving. Unless you use hardware you're unlikely to get any more points than the ones you get for kills.

I was thinking it would be nice if they got:
A. 3 points for a headshot kill if the victim has 100 health.
B. 3 points for a pistol kill. (Seeing as close up it's their only real option).
C. 3 points for kills over a certain distance.

Now you can answer in a mature way, or you can flame, like I know some people have to.

Personally I find no problem getting high scores as a sniper over other things you could do like jet whore or armor whore or chopper whore even in 1.12.

3 Points for a headshot would be insane, no offense, but I mainly get headshots anyways so....yeah

3 points for pistol kill is just a plain bad idea....sorry. A favorite tactic of mine is to hit someone in the chest with an m95 and then hit them once with the pistol. And no, it doesn't have to be up close at all....

Distance kills.....subjective.

The classes without ways of getting teamwork points are at a major disadvantage to medics, support etc. However its not just snipers who could do with a points boost. Besides, I don't think we need any more incentive to snipe than there already is, especially without class limits.

Well I find that when I play sniper, I dont get as much points as I do when im a medic or spec-ops or something, but in my opinion, its the most fun to play. You may not get that many kills, but you will not die as much either.

I love playing sniper, but hate the fact that you get so few points, but I don't think any of those options would help. I find the 'spotting' option the best, say you spot something important, such as armour, and it gets killed within 10 seconds, you get a point. Only thing I can think of.

Snipers get plenty of teamwork points... They're called "kill damage assists." :p

Yeah, I seem to get a good bit of points playing sniper. I'm always between 15 and 20 kills. Kill damage assists push the number even higher. I think it would be cool to get an extra point for something that took a lot of skill but everyone has pistols, long range shots are easy for the sniper, and probably 2/3 to 3/4 of my kills are headshot 1-hit kills. Honestly, if snipers got a point boost I think they would be the #1 played class. If any class needs a point boost it's AT. Nothing like hitting a tank with 3 rockets to have some shmuck who just rezzed get the kill, ya know?

That arrogance comes out in all the classes.

I hate being sniped, but I love sniping. I'm not that good. I have like a 2:1 kill ratio. My aim is horrible and I haven't quite figured out how to get a headshot. I noticed recently that if I aim BELOW the head I get more head shots. I thought there was bullet drop so I have been shooting over their heads most of the time I think.

As commander I always spot out snipers and if no one takes them out I bomb them with arty because I know how much hell they can bring on a team if they are good shots and are in a good spot. I can't tell you how many times I have been sniped with 1 shot leaving me wondering where the hell it came from.

I don't think snipers should be given 3 points for anything.

I do wish DICE would take away the M95s ability to shoot through glass so all those IDIOT FA@@OTs who teamkill to get a jet will not have that option.

All you need is practice. When I play sniper I can easily get around 40-60 points in a normal round, compared with the 50-120 scores i get as other classes. I you change the points, everybody is going to be sniper and it will be like the old n00b t00b, plane whores, and BH Miniguns all rolled into one spawn camping noobassed package. Practice with it and you'll have no problem earning points

I earn points just as easy as a Sniper. Especially since 1.2, it wasnt hard before, its even easier now.
3 Points for a headshot would be nice though lol, jks

If there weren't points no one would play, there would be no point.... errrm points are the point??? Sure its just a game and the overall objective is to have fun, but its fun to see how many points you can score, how well your squad can do, and games that come down to 1 or 2 tickets are awesome.

I think, especially with the improvements made to the sniper rifles, that high scores for snipers shouldn't be all that difficult. I will admit, its probably easier to go around healing people the whole round. However, on Mashtuur the other day my buddies and I got 1st, 3rd, and 6th place because we were in the right spots at the right times. We were all snipers... It was fun!
