Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
The browsers also sh*te if you disconnect from 1 server and update the list, mine drops to around 50 servers and then to 10, so I have to restart the game to find servers.
I agree 110% with that but I fail to see why someone would put themselves through the hell of using the ingame browser just because it's supposed to work when they don't have to.
Well It's more because of the fact I was too lazy to bother searching for and using a 3rd party server browser on my own. It still doesn't detract from EA/DICE's faults in this respect.
Anyway, I got AllSeeingEye as recommended, and got it all up and running. I have a 2 questions though.
First off, How do I filter out servers without any players in them? I see the filters section to the left, but Populated Servers is not an option.
Second, when I click on and choose to connect to a server, it opens BF2 and goes to the login screen. I login, and it goes to the main menu as usual, but from there, nothing happens. Exactly what do I do to launch and directly enter a server?

Answer 1) follow this route ---> modifiers-players-not full/not empty (tick as appropriate) the ping modifier is useful too i keep mine to <200 with my country filter set to europe
Answer 2) as bf2 requires you to log in youll need to alter the command line options of the shortcut.. here is a link to how to do it LINK its easy to do and wont take you more that 2 mins.
once you know your way around and it wont take long youll never ever go anywhere near gamespy again.
I would also reccomend removing or renaming your .BIK movies so you dont have to sit through or cancel them every time it boots up.
Then you can do what i do...
open your favorites folder find your fav server (this take bout 5 secs btw) and double click to get in (if its full Eye will sit there and wait for a slot to open for you coz its nice like that) while its booting up go and get a beer and laugh at your mates on team speak who are still waiting fir the ingame browser to refresh.
As BigFinger said, ASE needs to know your login details, otherwise it'll just sit there on the screen with the EA popup.
If you connect to a server via ASE and you decide that you want to play on another, all you have to do is ALT-TAB back to ASE and find your new server. When you've chossen one, just right-click and copy the IP address.
Now when you ALT-TAB back to BF2 you can hit 'Connect to IP' and paste the new IP address into the correct field.
It sounds long but in fact its still faster and more efficient than the ingame browser.

Yeah. Up until the 1.2 patch ASE users who wanted to switch to a new server had to either shut down BF2 and restart, use BF2 Autowrapper which copied the IP of the server in ASE into the HOSTS file or just write it down with a pencil !
Being able to copy and paste in BF2 makes life a little easier :)
Sorry...i meant that i can do other things, such as check bfhq and change settings/controls without agonizingly minimizing the game down or up again...
But if the browser is not changed in 1.21, i will permanently revert to ASE.

why do you need to minimise up/down to check bfhq/controls/settings surely if u r using the in game browser you dont need to exit to access all these ?
i check my stats online its faster, i havvnt changed my controls or vid details in a very very long time and have em backed up in case they get overwritten in apatch (hell im that sad i have the file online in case im round a friends so i can download it and have my controls)
