Its the L96A2. I love it! I am i sniper, check my stats, and i recently unlocked it. Normally i get around 9 kills and 5 deaths. BUT.....the VERY FIRST game i played using this gun, i got 18 kills, 0 deaths! i was gettin head shot after headshot! And the sound it makes is just intense! "Bang shhhhhhhhheeeeeew" like a rocket. Then the next game, i got 16 kills, and one death. And that kind of score carried on for a while. Its just such a accurate, powerful, loveable gun.

Same here. I just unlocked the L96 and OHHH BOY, what a relief from the 95. My second round with it on Sharqi, i went 40-4. I couldnt belive it. SOOOO incredibly accurate, and a scope made for shooting heads. Im putting the 95 in the closet, only to come out on levels with pilots to kill.

This weapon is awsome, just point and click and the enemies just fall down around you ! And like you mentioned the sound is great, sounds good and is difficult to pin down as it has abit of an echo kind of effect!
Overall though its just top stuff, and can be used of all teams, unlike my previous favorite the M24!

A few days ago a took some fellow in Daqing Oilfields around 400m distance. He was hiding on those chimneys on the nearest base of USMC headquaters. I was on the small forrest behind the oil tanks. My HUD says that distance to that base was about 330m, and the fellow was on the top stage of the chimney, so as a said about 400m. It took some rounds to find the elevation, but after few tries I drop him. The crosshair of the gun is awesome

dont forget the m24 has the same dmg and accuracy as the l96, though the sights and sound of the l96 are great in my opinion

Yea, I love this gun. Everytime I pick it up off a dead guy I get about 10 kills before I die, only 10k more points and its mine!

I just feel that as a second tier unlock you should be able to carry more clips. Otherwise, yea, the L96 is amazing.

no it's not, more kills for meee!:p

But I agree, this gun rocks the house. And unlike the M24 it's available for all teams to use (plus that noise just makes you feel soooo powerful)

PS Is it just me or is a bullet drop much greater with the L96 than with the other rifles???
