Chopper Whoring Officially Dead

I like the new patch ... I am an off and on chopper whore. So either way, it doesn't matter to me, but now teamwork will be even more important than ever in order for a Blackhawk to pwn the map.

I just played two rounds of Mashtuur and the MEC team took the ENTIRE map in less than 4 minutes! I had never seen that before. Amazing!

So now I guess now the only way to chopper whore in any capacity (especially on Mashtuur, Wake Island, et. al) is for there to be 3 engineers in the back, 2 medics (on the mini-guns), and a support kit (pilot) on board for it to work.

This is pretty good, I think. It was hard enough to get a decent squad together before. Now it will really take teamwork.

Got my Helicopter Specialist Ribbon on Gohost Town last night, ya the map that is AA crazy.

Just make sure you blovk his path on time(behind buildings ect)

Every game I play the BH is just sitting there not being used at all, how long befor it totally dissapears from the game or at least get rockets(wich it should have) now if you even set foot in one without the proper crew it is certian death, you are better off hoofing it to the flags.

I missed it my first run through, but behold its there! I mean its not like the idea of spawning at a DIFFERENT base and using a COUNTER to a helo: Humvee main gun (very very strong), AA vehicle, Airplane (need to be able to aim, or noob it up and kamikazee), pick up a helo and crash/c4 into enemy plan, get a sniper gun and shoot pilot, get a grenade launcher and hit pilot/gunners, get a antitank missile and LEARN TO AIM.

Oh and in related news:
Noobs complained about moving targets having an unfair advantage on the field. Thus we locked them down when they got down to aim a weapon.

A good pilot and co pilot know their surroundings at all times. Meaning they know where UAVs are. They know where jeeps are. You gotta play a little bit smarter but you can definetly still whore maps. I went 50-3 in a chopper earlier today on Sharqi and that map has quite a few AAs.

My teams chopper gunner went 46-2 in a scrim on Zatar. That's on this new patch. And scrim/match conditions are a lot more organized than pub play.

You just have to know what you're doing and just be more conservative.

Chopper Whoring is not dead at all, its only dead for the average skill players who always thought they were good, the really good pilots are starting to figure out how to keep there vehicles alive.

I had 62- 0 on wake earlier tonight in a J-10, and when i flew z-10 chopper for a bit my usual gunner had over 50 kills for 1 death.

Correct about the blackhawk thoough its nerfed so bad its worthless. guns have no splash, and down to 1/12 of damage in last patch, takes about 3-4 bullets into the torso to killa a guy with the minigun now which is Ultra un-realistic as one of those M134 miniguns would tare you up FOR REAL, but i guess thay had to nerf the hawk guns to be as usless as the other chopper guns or masthuur would be usmc dominated now that they stoped you throwing more thatn 1 stick of C4 at a time out the back of the mec chopper.

You can thank indianscout for the helo squad nerfing he pushed so hard for that as he has always hated the pioneers of helo squad

i think we already talked about the ideal classes in a bh...
but still;
i do agree with everyone, the BH has been nerfed significantly, i mean, im on wake, gunning the crap out of the poor chinese army and i dont get a single kill nowadays! i think they just took the splash and reduced the damage of it

Yah in real life those mini guns can distroy an APC, there are alot of things wrong with this game I wish they would fix.

ahhhhh now it makes sense....

Was playing in Mash yesterday and a had a shot of the minigun, not a bad gunner and the pilot gave me time, but only managed 1 kill!!!!!!!!! Was like WTF.

Also on the recieving end and times i thought i was dead meat, i managed to survive...???? WTF

So the bloomin nerfed the miniguns and made it easier to shoot down.....SH1T

One of my favourite tactics was to squad up with my buddies, 2 jeeps up the back of there heli base, waste the BH when it came in for repairs, shoot the respawning would be BH crew (spawn camping eh...Me bad/ viable tactic in that situ) nick there BH and use it against them...... reckon ill no bother now

- Helicopter now carry 8 missiles rather than 14
- TV-Guided missile now have a shorter range
- Hit points on all air vehicles has been reduced
- AA missile lock has been improved
- Support kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy
- Sniper kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy
- Anti-Tank kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy
- "Dolphin Diving" is no longer possible
- Players can no longer jump and shoot at the same time
- "Prone Spamming" is now fixed
- "Sprint exploit" is now fixed
- The Sa80 weapon has been improved
- The G3A3 weapon has been improved
- Reload while sprinting has been enabled
- Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials

- Damage decreased for the M134 <---BLACKHAWK MINIGUNS

- Medic defibrillator paddles have been adjusted. They now reload while not in use.

So in short yes they Nerfed the hawk guns

I've spent about 30 seconds in the Blackhawk since the patch, fired a few shots saw no splash damage, got no kills and bailed out.

Only people that are complaining about the 1.2 patch are the ones who played cheap a majority of the time. Now that fun has been taken away (thank you DICE/EA!). Helicopters and jets can still be just as efficient but you gotta know how to use them and counter whats out there to take you out. Thats called BALANCE!

That wasn't there before 1.2, so you're days of spawn camping and base raping while being a cheapass at the same time, its now harder for you to do that so get over it and stop bitching or find something else to play. Take your cheapass tactics and shove them up that tight hole you sit on.

Take a look at this post ladies and gentlemen, its exactly this kind of whining noob that doesnt understand the concepts of reality that got us into the 1.2 situation. His type moaned for realism ie bunny hopping, missile locks, dolphin diving, I dare say if a Blackhawk hovered infront of you in real life you wouldnt feel a thing after the 1st bullet from the M134 minigun hit you becase you would be instanlty dead. Just think yourslef lucky you can re-spawn in this game and dont have to sit the rest of the round out like you used to have to in CS:S or better yet go back to CS:S and keep your thoughts to yourself.

I dont see the balance when I have to learn to use my machine gun the hard way just so you can effortlessly take me down with the AA...
