I played everything evenly, helo, medic, support, sniper, spec op... I was so a good gunner... But then EA decided to make the AA WAY more pwoerful than it needed it to be. Hell, if you just get a lock tone fire away, you'll kill always. For DD, I NEVER SAW A ****ING PERSON DO THAT! Now, I cant use support or medic. Thanks for killing the teamwork, whiners.

AA is not powerful, its just too damn accurate. i mean its making 30 degree turns!.. thats freakin crazy!....

BF2 used to be one of the BEST FPS games on the market. It was extremely FLUID in which it felt like you could move and react to what was going on around you to get the job done.

I agree about the loss of fluidity... i died like 4 times today because of AT rockets... i used to see the rocket coming and jump out of the way (when prone) can't do that now

Yes, god forbid BF2 doesn't play like Unreal Tournament but in a rather more realistical way

I used to be a chopper whore my self and I must say I really love the improved AA. Before the patch I'd hear the "bzzzzz" lockon signal and I'd think "Bah, I'll throw some flares and the missiles will never hit me unless I'm really unlucky..", now I think "Oh crap, must do the «get the hell outa here» manouver!":evil:

And I've flown planes with no problem since the patch, I just die somewhat more. But if you use your brain and your reflexes you won't die that much... (fly high, dive for bomb and regain 500m altitude for a starts ).

Anyways, if you dislike the game so much then just uninstall it / burn the cds or dvds / format your hdd / throw a molotov cocktail and EA's offices, but stop spamming the forums...

So what happens? People whine about stupid things (dolphine diving? Honestly i never seen people use it especially to the extents some whiners complained. LEARN TO JOIN AN ADMINED SERVER PEOPLE!!!!).

Most people wanted dolphin diving OFF from BF2 and I haven't missed that feature at all since installing 1.2. Maybe you should just learn to play now?

Played my first games with the 1.2 patch today, didn't feel any difference in the movement at all...? Noticed better AA missles, and better aim with rifles though...

Now? Movement sucks, you feel like diving down will now punish you, the fluid action of BF2 is RUINED to an extent i might as well be playing an RPG, its horrid. This isnt even getting into the critical loss of range on grenades medpacks and more.

Sorry, this game is just annoying to play now. Ive seen MMO's totally fubar a game, but an FPS? Thats amazing.


PS Forgot to mention flight = flying coffin GG. You freaking noobs who have ZERO skill whined and got your wish. Enjoy your ****ty 1.2 patch.



Misc other notes: Besides the horrid lag, objects and pathing is totally screwed up. Projecticle weapons go right through vehicles and it seems accuracy on weapons is overally reduced. Point blank 3 rounds of burth with the US Assault rifle and hes left standing.

FPS are supposed to be FLUID, i agree issues existed, but there are MUCH better ways of solving them than with this half-assed attempt.

Though in 1.2.1 or 1.3, I'd like for DICE to assess going to prone, thats my only complaint at the moment, its a little off.....

Other than that, I enjoy the AA because its the way it should be!!! Takes skill to avoid the missiles. Those that flew around without fear of getting shot down are the only ones I see complaining...

Also making the comment of "it takes no skill to shoot someone down in an AA". Im pretty sure that there is skill in finding the right time to fire. I see you, missile lock on, you fire flares pre-maturely, I fire my missiles at ya! All you have to do is fire the AB and do some sharp turns and the missiles likely will not hit you. If you don't have the skills to avoid that, then consider yourself a fine pilot of a what did the OP say? Ah yes, "flying coffin".

Hopefully Digital Illusions CE won't be giving in to all these 1.2 crybabies and giving them back their means to be cheapasses. The game is well balanced now and you just have to adapt to it and learn to use new tactics to win the game.
