Hi guys, I was getting lag as well. I have a feeling the lag is due to the recent update of Windows XP. Becaue the new update limited the maxium concurrent half-open connections down to 10.

There is a little program can patch the TCPIP.sys file, check out the website @ http://www.LvlLord.de

That was when windows service pack 2 came out ive been useing the program your referring to for nearly a year maybe longer.

On topic i was getting huge amounts of lag on most servers untill i messed around with my settings. I have a ATI card so i opened up the catalyst control centre and in the 3D tab i moved the slider to the middle for balanced (it was one to the right more quality). I also set my audio settings in BF2 to default (except i made everything in English and i turned up the volume). I couldn't honestly say what defiantly fixed my problems as i did both of these at the same time but ever since I've done this I'm back to begin lag FREE you could at least give it a try it could help you.

I have been using the program as well since service pack 2 came out , but due to the Windows XP update on 2/15/2006, my setting was changed back to 10.

hmm ill have to check that out thanks for the reply ill be reinstalling if its done the same thing to me .

I dont think my lag was down to that anyway i updated a couple of days after i patched up to 1.2 and i was getting the lag before hand.

I am not sure if that is what is casuing the lag. But one thing for sure, after 2/15/2006, my ping in BF2 is higher.
