People complain because this is the only decent online FPS that isn't a couple years old. I really don't want to be forced to go play CS:S on my free time.
This patch has made it more challenging to be a top player.. True competitors will love this patch. Kids that always look for the quick and easy exploits will hate it..

I love this patch...
That's not really true. The gameplay was changed so it's less arcade like. People who like fast paced fights will have to add some more camp to their gun fights. The sniper rifles' precision was increased so my mouth's shut. If you get M95'd out your JSF 5 times in a row, that's me campin' it up.
Shooting while presenting yourself as low a profile as possible i.e. being prone in midair was a problem....for some...not me.
Bunnyhopping was annoying but was never a problem to kill them, just a challenge, the noobs couldn't do it so now going from prone to standing is hard and shooting in midair has been removed.
Noobs + whines = dumbed down game...
the n00bs couldnt do it??? cound not hit the space bar then left click? wow man, you have got to be kidding, anyone, and I mean anyone with fingers on their hands could jump and shoot....of all the posts in all the forums in all the world this must be the dumbest comment I have ever read....hopping around like an idiot is not a skill it simply made the game look ridiculous...
I agree with h-bar on the part that by fixing the bunny hopping they screw up everything else. I also dislike many other things, like the fact that they decreased the hit points on the choppers, reduced the number of rockets, etc, etc. But as much as I hated the patch the first day or two, if I realy think deeper about it, all this things that we hate, make the game more realistic. Can you switch from prone to stand 5 times in a second in reality? No, even though I liked it better earlier when the movements were easier. Can chopper take more that even 1 missile hit in reality? No, even though I was scoring more points when it could.
Unfortunately, a lot of new little problems that are still far from reality came with the new patch, like the grenade issue for example, but I'm sure there will be a lot more patches to fix them.

can a comparitivley weak Medic throw a 5 pound first aid kit 30 feet? (there are some small first aid kits that are 1/2 pound but they are next to useless) plus the fact that Combat Medics normally carry HUGE 30Lb. 50-Person first aid kit's that are as big as a backpack
I just wanted to add that realism was never part of my arguement. There are many aspects of this game that are not realistic, but put in place to make the gameplay more enjoyable.
The biggest complaint I have is that the way DICE "fixed" some aspects of the game. They removed some mechanics which made the game fun. And I still can't figure out why there is no FF on claymores and mines anymore.
I still enjoy the game immensely, but I find myself missing features that they removed.
At the end of the day, I feel like I am playing a simpler BF2...
The large changes DICE introduced with the latest patch somewhat reminds me of the tactic Sony used on SWG.
It also makes me think that DICE is just hacking at thier code, trying to quick fix bugs and satisfy the loudest complainers. Neither of which incorporates a sound business model.
You guys should learn to adjust to games. I dont care it they make the PKM a one shot kill and be able to hit stuff 500m away. I couldnt care less I just love playing the game if you really hate it so much go get a job take a shower and come back when another patch is out.
I do feel for the ppl complaining about new bugs like the rockets going through tanks and sound bugs. O well gonna have to deal with it for awhile.
Learn to adjust? I think we all did adjust. If you look at the original game, it is nothing at all like what we have today. Adjustment is not the issue here at all. If it was then why couldn't people "adjust" to learn how to jump and fire? It seems that people forget that there is more than 1 server out there and they can at any time leave the current one and go to another.
I do feel that the game is a lot easier now than it was pre 1.20:
Before: You had to carefully decide where to put claymores and mines so you would not hard your teams vehicles. The last thing you wanted to do was team kill your squad.
Now: You can drop mines and claymores anywhere and np. Becuase in real life, we know that landmines and claymores do discriminate between friendlies and enemies.
The physics are pretty much screwed up too. It's like every player is Nolan Ryan chucking those grenades. The GL does not have a natural decent either. Test it, it goes straight for like 20 meters then it drops...
