The real grenade is not on a timer, it simply requires to be spun x number of times before it arms (that x number equates to about 30m of normal motion). Once it arms it explodes on impact. If it impacts something before it arms then it never arms and thus does not explode...

Now all that maths may be a bit too much for a hectic game like BF2, so a timer does the job just fine in my opinion... I just think they made is slightly too short...

I just played 5 rounds of Karkand and it seems that the M203 sucks ASS now. This is stupid, the 1.2 patch downgraded BF2. Who else agrees?

I mean, truely, I can still nail snipers from 100m out with the M203. Drop shot them into flag-cap areas and save the day, or just use them to down a Helo/Vodnik.

They work fine. Only difference is now they bounce when you fire them at point blank range, and you have to be a bit more accurate. It's still a one hit kill, just takes more accuracy.

30 snipers spawn at karkand now they put clayrmores everywhere USMC got no chance to cap. the flag.
APC,TANK used for spawncamping (grr...) so just infantry can't go thru it.
DAMN PATCH SUX!!!!!!!!

The GLs still own. Some has already mentioned.

I engaged with a few prone PKM soldiers last night. Fire one, missed... run for cover and wait for reload... fired again...
If u miss again, the prone soldier might be killed by your team for proning too long and PKM made a big loud noise.

THe only differences is no more jump-and-shoot. So are the other weapons. Bouncin and a tiny bit firing delay and damage slightly reducing aren't big factor to me at this moment.

We always have to get used to the new patch and the whiners will be always crying no matter what.

Use other weapons, what's the big deal? The G3 is like the best weapon on the game now and you're crying because the most hated weapon of all has been de-graded. BTW, you say the patch downgraded the game? Well, for me, it was the likes of you that downgraded the game. Running around using a grenade launcher as your primary firearm. Be done with you.

The worst about that new no jump-N-shoot feature is i don't know how to knife some1 in the back alley of karkand

Thats bold coming from you....you don't even have 20k points and you barely have more kills than death with the GL....

And its not exactlyt he same, it has a slight delay and bounces, and the radius of the explosion is lowered.

It was fine before, too many people complained because they couldn't handle being owned so....we get this crap.

And no, I wasn't ever a big noob tuber....

I am sorry you n00b t00bers can't kill someone standing arms length away with the nade launcher without dying anymore....I dont think anyone had a problem with being naded from a distance, thats not the argument, they kept that in the game, at least from a distance you have to aim, and I can respect that, but damn those up close shots with no damage to the shooter, if you liked that aspect of the game then you truely are an idiot...

I only use the knife when I find some one camping. The stabs don't register that well and a couple shots in the head with a pistol is just as quick. They should have just ripped off the knifing in CS. They already threw in the L96.
